Working hard to not let the February blues get me down. Keeping busy usually does the trick. I've been trying to clean up odds and ends in my sewing room. Have a lot of various sized quilt squares of designs I was trying out and now I'm working at making them all one size (by adding strips around each one when necessary) so maybe I can sew them all into one crazy quilt. From the looks of my squares so far and the various material I used, this is going to be one ugly blanket! ha ha
Saw this cute thing on Facebook and just LOVED IT!
I just removed a pan of chicken legs from the oven. Didn't realize they were quite that juicy and I managed to spill juice in the bottom of the oven. Enough so that I definitely have to clean it tomorrow. I do hate cleaning the oven!
Talked to Mary on the phone this morning and she told me how hard it is to keep Jake confined. He was in the garage with his dad the other day and somehow managed to get away unnoticed. Went to the neighbors and walked into their garage and since the door to their house was open, he decided to stroll in there too. The woman was upstairs and didn't realize he was even in the house. Meanwhile, Mary discovered him missing and was frantic scouring the neighborhood.
Another time they were in Target (or some department store at the mall) and he took off. Found a neat place to hide in some clothes closet and again, Mary was frantic. He peeked out grinning. Boy, she's gonna have her hands full. She's got a very expensive and comfortable stroller and now he refuses to ride in it. Has to be on foot. She's getting a tracker thingie for him to wear so the next time he takes off, she can find him.
Well, it's dinner time so I'm off.
