I Dodged One Today

Today was the LAST time I leave my purse in the car when going into Safeway while just carrying my wallet.  Twice I've left the wallet in the cart and drove off.  Twice I got it back.  Never again!  If I hadn't stopped at my neighborhood grocery to pick up a Hit Five ticket, I never would have known it was missing till long after I got home.  Safeway's lotto counter was closed which is why I decided to stop.  Prayed all the way there and almost decided to run a red light.  I was soooooo happy to see that splash of red sitting in the cart.  So glad.  Decided it must be my lucky day so I stopped at the little grocery again and bought 4 tickets!  Even if I don't win, I figure I'm still a winner.  Ha!

I had to fast this morning 'cause I needed to get blood drawn.  She was really really good at her job. I didn't feel a thing.  Now to wait and see what the doctor emails me regarding the results.

I've been feeling distress in the lower tract again (if you get my drift).  And being bothered with leg cramps.  That always reflects my next grocery shopping tour.  Bought oatmeal (not the quick kind), yogurt, all bran cereal, raisins, cranberry juice, bananas, and Gator Ade. (supposed to help cramps)

Am home now and intend to occupy myself in the sewing room. Just like yesterday.  Gotta put new batteries in the doorbell again.  Either the doorbell is a piece of crap (probably) or my batteries are inferior. Second time in a short time that the bell has quit working.

Watched 'The Affair' on Showtime last night and it's already starting to get on my nerves.  I'd just as soon see interaction and drama between the characters than have to watch the two main characters going at it in a motel room.  We've come a long ways since Lucy and Desi sleeping in single beds. I couldn't believe how graphic the sex scenes were.  I think it's called soft porn but it was actually PURE porn as close as I could tell.  I wonder what their mothers think when they see that nonsense up there for all the world to view.  Yeah, I know. I sound like an old lady.  Well, I am an old lady.

Maybe I'll lay out some of the goofy looking squares I'm working on to use up odds and ends of material.  It'll be a miracle if I can get a quilt out of this mess.  It will definitely be one of a kind, that's for sure!
