My car gave me a bit of a scare this morning as I was taking the kids to high school. Made a horrible clanking like there was a semi on my tail. Took it to the neighborhood mechanic (a former PT guy) and he drove it around but it wouldn't repeat. He thought perhaps it was a rock that bounced up near the exhaust. Said to bring it back if it did it again. What a relief!
Played around in the sewing room for a while cleaning up little odds and ends.
Don't know why this came out so blurry. It's basically just little hearts appliqued on small squares and trimmed with a red border. Wanted to use up odds and ends. Would look nicer if I learned how to take a decent picture.
This is a quilt top I made but then I cut part of it off to play around with the design. I'll probably go back and add some borders to make a lap quilt out of it.
This was the piece I cut off. I should have used a less flowery design for the other parts of the square. I have a tendency to just grab whatever I have a lot of. Unfortunately, my choice of colors leaves a lot to be desired. I'm working on that.
This was a 'spools' square I wanted to make a quilt out of but then lost interest so framed the square and said it would now be a table top. Ha Ha
Another spools square that turned into a table top. I need to settle down and get busy on something I can follow through with.
This was a photo I found tucked behind another photo in this old family album a cousin in Oregon gave me. I posted it on Oregon Genealogy page on Facebook hoping to identify the crops involved. Course I'd love to find out where it is and who these folks are too, but I doubt that's gonna happen.
It's got a couple of 'double exposure' people in it too. Two on the right and one on the left.
Jenni and Wayne got all the way to their Seattle doctor appt. only to be told the doctor called in sick.
She cried and I would have done the same. Now she has to go back and start all over.
I didn't take a nap today. Wonder how long I'll last tonight. I need to get in to the clinic one day this week to have some blood drawn. Need to fast the night before so I've been lazy about getting it over with. Think I'll try for Thursday.
Got my Crown Zellerbach/Port Townsend Paper Retirement Luncheon invite today so now I have something on my calendar besides return books to the library or go to the doctor. Still over a month away (March 21) but it's a function I look forward to. I'll take the pictures and post on Facebook.
Started cleaning the kitchen a little bit here and there but discovered that to do the job really really well, I needed to devote a good two hours minimum to the job. Not in the mood today to go that route but I did make a little headway. Amazing once you stop and really examine your range or refrigerator or garbage cans -- just how dirty things can get -- and how you manage to not see them.
And with that, I'm off to something constructive like my jigsaw puzzle.
