Shopping Trip

Jenni was making a quick Walmart run and asked if I wanted to tag along.  Didn't really need much (I didn't think) but I went.  Ended up spending $27.  Funny how that happens.  As we were leaving she noticed my shoe was undone and pointed it out.
"I'll wait until I get to your car", I said.  "Too hard to bend down."  (so pathetic but it is what it is)
"Here!  I'll do it for you. Stick out your foot.  But you may need to help me up again."

As she tied the laces, she said:  "Ahhh....the circle of life."   Made me laugh.  We were going to go for a walk but her legs were hurting way too much from the Walmart walking so we said 'Another Time.'  I was hurting too.  I can usually walk around that large store for quite a while if I use a cart to hang on to but invariably, once I get to the car and have to climb in, all the moaning begins and I sink into the seat wondering: HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?

After I got home I decided to make a library run to get some audio books for when I'm sewing.  After researching favorite books, I found Tale of Two Cities by Dickens in audio form and Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman.  Decided it was time I improved my mind a little.  I also got another John Grisham, A spool of blue thread by Anne Tyler and a book by Carol Burnett.  In book form, I picked up an Agatha Christie (supposedly one of the best ever) and short stories by Dickens.  Now we'll see if I actually read them.  I think I will.

I left the library and drove to Jenni's to pick up Hunter so he could earn $10 by washing my filthy car.
Looks ever so much better now.  Wayne dropped in to pick him up to go to their next errand so I fixed them french fries and toasted cheese sandwiches.  Now I have to wash a sink full of dishes, fold and put away a load of laundry, and iron some quilt squares I sewed yesterday.

I'd better get moving because I can already feel a nap coming on.
