Thank God for the mute button! I enjoyed a lot of the Grammys but not all of it, that's for sure! Seems like the performances (especially those I hated!) were way too long. Several I had to mute almost immediately and it's amazing how long the commercials ran too. You notice that even more when you've turned off the sound. I got a little teary watching The Eagles. I adore their songs. Adele, Lady Gaga, and Little Big Town were three of my favorite performances.
At one point, I started channel surfing to occupy my time and came across James Cagney in the 1942 movie, Yankee Doodle Dandy. Oh my, how that man could dance!
I'm picking up the twins in about ten minutes to run them to high school (Jenni and Wayne are off to Bainbridge Island to catch a ferry) and then I intend to come home and settle in at the sewing machine. Pretty quiet day overall. Yesterday I rearranged the living room.
UPS delivered my chair mat for the sewing area so that put me in the mood to hunker down in there for a while.
The kitchen has become my office and puzzle center so I guess this is how I'm going to spend February.
Still being bothered with gnats so I set out two bowls of vinegar this a.m. with a squirt of soap in it. Put one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen. Not sure where these dang bugs are coming from. There aren't a lot; just a few now and then buzzing my face. The only fruit I have is two bananas and they aren't any where near those!
My cell phone continues to drive me bonkers. The ring keeps turning itself way down low or to silent. This, after I've turned it up. And the notifications for Facebook posts are way too loud. I'm thinking I need to take the Facebook app off my phone altogether and see if that helps anything.
And I'm off....
