Well, I had kind of a bumpy start to this day but tomorrow will be better. I finally got up from my recliner at 8 a.m. and forced myself to get moving. A shower helped and so did a hot breakfast but I never did pick up a lot of steam. Managed to get the bed stripped, laundry done, kitchen swept, and dishes put away. That's something I suppose.
Wasted a lot of time just browsing around on the computer but I had various things I wanted to look up. Like the latest quarter I found in my chain purse. Bombay Hook from Delaware. I thought they were done working on state quarters but I guess certain places get more coins. I have one of those coin books with slots but it doesn't have room for extra states. I still need Guam, Northern Mariana Island...oh wait a minute...I just saw four more slots. Guess I'll put my Bombay Hook in there. Sometimes I wish I had taken up coin collecting years ago. I enjoy coins. Same with stamps. Oh well, I guess I collect enough "other stuff".
The rains held off until about 2 o'clock this afternoon. Now it's coming down pretty good. I made a quick library run and brought home one audio book (Middlesex) to listen to while sewing. Also picked up half a dozen books. About three of the ones I wanted weren't on the shelf although they were listed as being available when I looked them up on the computer before going up there. Either they were misfiled or someone just happened to pick them up while I was enroute.
I used the copy machine while there so I could enlarge some applique patterns I wanted to try out. Came out and ironed some more Sunbonnet Sue squares and I think I'll quit with the dozen I have now. I plan on putting a few plain squares in between these to perk it up a bit and make it larger.
Should be kinda cute once I get more squares sewn and add the border and binding.
Gonna make a small meatloaf for supper and watch a couple more episodes of Ray Donovan. I'm into season 2 and he's managed to get into my dreams.
Decided to bite the bullet and call the orthopedic guy to get my shoulder checked out. I'm weary of it hurting all the time. Also going to discuss my low back pain and see what my options are. I've been "learning to live with it" for several years but sometimes it just depresses me that I can't be on my feet and do normal stuff the way I want to. Yeah, I know. Lose weight. And I will. blah blah blah...
Really, though, I know weight loss will help but whatever is going on I really don't feel is weight related. I'm obese, yes; but I shouldn't have to sit down before I even finish washing a sink full of dishes or vacuuming the house. I hate going to the doctor but as long as I'm paying these high medical insurance bills each month, I suppose it's silly to not take advantage of medical advice.
And with that, I'm off to the recliner to take a little nap. Story of my life these days.
