Man! Where did the day go? Yet..... I did get a heck of a lot done today so I'm not sure why I'm surprsied it's 4 o'clock already. I woke up at 4 and tossed around for an hour determined not to get up that early. I did fall back asleep but my dreams were so annoying, I decided my day was going to start at 6:45 no matter if I was still tired. I'm yawning now so I'm hoping I'll last until 9:30 or so and then sleep like a baby. But I won't.
I went down to the lab at 9 to get blood drawn. Not all that enthused about the new girl they have in there. Last time she couldn't find a vein and had to have the other girl do it. Today she was alone so I was stuck with her. She found a vein and it hurt where as the other drawer was more gentle. When I left, I noticed the cotton ball she had taped on my arm was bright red and blood was dripping down my arm. Annoying to say the least. I came home and cleaned it up and saw I only had big honker bandaids so I decided to make a Walmart run and buy bandaids along with some more paint for my rocks.
Sooner or later I'm going to have to give in and use an electric cart to scoot around that store. I really wanted some special ink pens but it meant another walk clear across the store near the garden center and I was too worn out to do it. I stopped at the bread store and took a quick drive out to the spit to pick up a half dozen more rocks to paint. Aggravating that I can't maneuver across beach rocks anymore. Way too unsteady on my feet even with my walking stick. I picked up what I could and drove over to Jenni's to see what she was up to. More crafting...see below.
She's going to bury these bricks a few inches down along her driveway. Very pretty once she glued the glass on top.
This is her very pretty front entrance way. She has a green thumb I think.
She always wanted a beach view so this is what she devised along her front curb.
Wayne was there and said he was coming over to cut and weed eat. So happy. The place looks 100% better now.
That little plant along the fence sure feels better with the nasty weeds gone that she was surrounded by.
I swept out the garage yesterday and cleaned up the shelves a bit. Started filling a box for Goodwill that I will keep in my car and add to from time to time. I dumped a large garbage can of weeds and filled the hummingbird feeders. Also pulled the patio table to the other end of the porch so I guess my outside chores are caught up for a while.
I was going to paint rocks and sew today but my energy level is going down fast from all the physical labor I put in so that will be Thursday's activity.
I went over to visit Dottie Hopkins as I wanted to see her yard work.
Kind of feels like it wants to rain again so I'm glad everything is finished for the day. Think I'l make some mini pizzas for dinner. Started watching this show on Hulu last night called Alone. I think I've seen it before (about ten guys who try to make it in the wilds. The first guy quit after one night because he was scared of the bears. I would be too but I would try not to shed tears on camera like he did --seeing as how he was a cop. I bet he caught a lot of chatter on that one.
Okay. That's it for now.
