I had insomnia last night. No clue why but it does seem to happen more than it used to. I went to bed around 9:30 and was really tired. At 3 a.m. I was still tossing and turning. Of course now I'm walking around in a fog. Tried taking a nap but there's too much activity going on outside my door. Got a new neighbor moving in so I had to watch through my peephole now and again to see if I could figure out who it was. Finally took over a small plate of cookies and his daughter (I guess?) introduced us. He's lived in PT for 18 years but I'd never heard the name before. I did google him (I know --Gladys Kravitz is my middle name). He's a widower and 86. His wife's obit was interesting.
And yes, I know how snoopy I sound, but at least I'm aware of it! haha
My Vanity Fair magazine arrived yesterday so I sat down to tear out all the perfume ads. Much to my surprise, there weren't any. Usually that magazines reeks to high heaven. Then I started tearing out all the glossy ads (clothes and perfume I'd never buy nor could I afford to buy). The magazine was smaller than previous issues for some reason. I did find three articles that I thought might interest me. Bill Clinton, Obama, and Stephen Colbert. I don't get that many magazines. I thought I would like Prevention but I already know about all the stuff they think we need to know about staying healthy. Plus a lot of their articles are aimed at younger older people than me.
I tried to get interested in several movies and documentaries on Netflix these past few nights but it seems like I invariably end up deleting it and yelling "What a waste of my time! This is garbage!" And I'm really becoming impatient with everything being about murder and hoods and thugs and corrupt politicians and hit men, and dense teenagers and ghosts and ghouls. I find myself settling in with some English show or old movies I've already seen. And I've even taken to shutting off the set altogethr and reading. What a concept. I plan to call the library and see how I can get a library card. I know they'll bring stuff to the door for you if you ask. I need to get some books on tape as I used to listen to them in bed and they'd ALWAYS put me to sleep.
I think I'll go to Youtube again and practice inserting a video. It's not that hard but I never can remember how to do it. This time I'm writing it down!
Here's my favorite song....
