I didn't even step outside today even though it looked pretty darn nice out there. Tomorrow it will probably rain and I'll think I have to go somewhere. I did manage to get a few odds and ends done around here. I did a load of laundry, washed dishes (always a bit of a chore with a small sink area), mopped the kitchen, and took the foam pad off my mattress to see if I sleep any better. This is a thing I've been doing off and on for months. I always put it back on but think at the time, that it's surely going to be better sleeping tonight.
I took an hour nap in my recliner and woke up with the idea that it was time to clean out files and pictures. I was surprised at just how much I had stored away in nooks and crannies. I pulled out several large manila envelopes and decided I was going to gift the majority of this collection to all those folks in my life. The twins are adults now and sooner or later, their children will want to see what mom and dad looked like growing up. Jenni took multiple pictures over the years of Maddie and Hunter so they were a big part of my collection. I also had a ton of Catie. Not ready to give any up of Jake yet. I found one of Sue as a toddler and another of Mary as a teen.
I also went to this folder of "stuff" Hunter and Maddie drew or wrote growing up and I'll put those in their individual envelopes too. If nothing else, it will give them some laughs when they open at Christmas.
I also filled one for Dana and Janie. And I found the graduation program for cousins Jimmy and Linda and class pictures of them in grade school so I'm sending them on. Hopefully, I've got them all on my computer. Guess I'd better check that before I send the envelope off. Yep. I have 'em!

This picture caught my eye as I used to pass it all the time when I lived in Hadlock.

I loved her Christmas tree. She used her nephew's toys for much of it.
And I think that's about it for tonight. Tomorrow I plan to watch a little golf, do some reading, play on the computer, and if I get real energetic, I might see about making a small quilt. I have the tops done for maybe 4 or 5 but putting them together with batting and backing is just plan work. We'll see....
