Sunny Monday

Had a horrible allergy day on Saturday. My eyes watered so bad coming back from the library that I wondered if I could drive home.  Yesterday was better but I'm finding the light is definitely bothering me.  I don't know if that's allergy related or not. I'm thinking I may even look into getting sunglasses that have a better sunblock. Mine don't seem to help as much as I think they should when I'm driving. Maybe it's an age thing. Everything gets blamed on age these days.

I took an allergy pill this morning and while it was supposed to be non drowsy, I'm wondering if it actually was as I've been dragging all day long.  But then again, I seem to go through stages where I'm just plain tired from morning till night.  Doctor seems to feel it's not anemia or anything like that but could be because my body hurts, and it's wearing me out.  I can agree with that!

Tomorrow I'm taking a "chill pill" and getting an MRI on my low back.  Jenni will drive me as I'm hoping the pill makes me relaxed.  I do hate MRIs.  Been putting this off way too long, though, and if I want to get to the bottom of things, this tube test is the only way I can.  My hope is that I qualify for a shot of sterioids or whatever they give you to take away the pain.  Surgery isn't something I want to consider.  I've heard too many stories of people not being any better afterwards, and after having gone through two surgeries already, I don't think my body can take another.  As it is, my shoulder and knee both bother me every single solitary day!  And I don't have constant pain. Am fine if I'm sitting. Just can't stand for any length of time.  Hell of a way to spend your declining years.

Drove around downtown and through alleyways trying to find this saw sharpening business as my sewing scissors are too much to contend with anymore and need some help. Finally gave up and called them. Come to find out they moved across town (closer to my neighborhood) so I'll try them out tomorrow morning.

Hunter cut my lawn yesterday so at least it looks better.  I cleaned up all my solar yard lights this morning as most weren't working.  Hate digging around in there and discovering little spiders nested away.  Hung out some fresh hummingbird nectar and that was the extent of my accomplishments today.  No energy.

Am trying to work on a new applique quilt but am finding the turning under way too difficult so I'm going to see if I can find a video or some book directions on what I'm doing wrong.  I made a small lap quilt a couple days ago but lost interest in it so I haven't put on the backing yet.
Latest pictures from Mary show Jake working in the yard and playing with a friend.  So cute...

One of my favorites from Facebook this week include this ....

And here's another picture from that "nice people" email I got last week...
