I just typed over 350 words on a topic I felt like yakking about and then I decided it just might be worthy of saving for my book instead. So I stuck it in a file of topics I intend to write about as I go along. Did I mention I'm working on another book? I made a list of various writing projects I've worked on over the years and decided three years was enough time to pass before I started something new. A lot of my book will be some of the posts I wrote for my Town Kid blog on the Leader website. Won't use them all, of course, and I'll edit quite a bit as I delete or add comments. It'll be something to keep me busy.

I don't have a title for my book yet as I'm still working on the topics I want to cover. I'll include family history that I've worked on, life in Port Townsend, and a variety of other subjects. Even plan to do some research on famous folks. It's gonna be fun. Let me know if you want a copy as I'll probably end up self-publishing and I'd like to have pre-orders this time so I can get a feel of how many to have printed. I wish I could insert color pictures but that makes the price of printing skyrocket, and I plan on keeping the paperback book cost at $20 a copy.
Email me at cedarrose61@hotmail.com to leave a message. I figure the book won't be done until after the first of the year.
I've been kind of tired the last few days. Nothing new there. I did manage to get a small quilt top finished and pinned the batting and backing to it so I can finish it up tomorrow. I used some material my step-sister, Shannon, picked up for me at a famous quilt store in Missouri when she was traveling with friends. It's called Downton Abbey theme. I had to buy some berry red, dark green, and tan material to add enough material for more squares, and I found some real pretty dark rose material for the back and border.
I also made up a blackberry cobbler and am fixing meatballs for supper. In fact, I think I'll go get them cooking pretty quick now.
Took two bird photos this morning as I noticed the suet cage I had hung had been discovered.
Here's a couple cute pictures Mary sent me of the halloween party they attended yesterday in Hadlock. Shari Glessing does this every year. They carve pumpkins, decorate cookies, eat, and watch the Seahawks. Mary said this time Jake got to play football, badminton, and pingpong. His latest thing is to walk around and say "will you play with me?" ha ha She said when she was buckling him up in the car to go home, he declared "that was fun!"
Here he is at the grocery store....
Jan Boutilier posted some terrific pictures on Facebook the other day....
I'm not sure who this picture belonged to but I really liked it.
Well, time to get busy.
