Had a day of mourning and now I'm doing my best to not think about it. Thank God for the mute button. I'm gonna' be using it a lot in the next four years. Think I'll switch my news watching to PBS while I'm at it. The nat'l news from the four stations I usually tune in just haven't been cutting it and I'm noticing it more all the time. Half the broadcasts are for drugs anyhow.
Tried to think of one good thing about this mess our country is in now and I'm betting ole Donald is gonna be sorry what he wished for. Think about it. Would you want the headache of being the President? Not me. He's going to have to work around the clock and while he likes the attention, the responsibility is going to be a heavy load. One problem after another and he's going to be criticized CONSTANTLY. That makes me smile. Yeah, I don't like the guy. Never have. Am not at all impressed with the first lady either --or their pack of bratty kids.
I wouldn't have wanted Ted Cruz either but I think I could have lived with any of the other republicans. Well, maybe not Christie. He's a sleaze too. We'll see how much the Donald ages after a couple years. Health is bound to enter the picture and you know, he's always going to be looking over his shoulder for the next nutcase that wants to take him out. That's a sad state of affairs that our country has had to put up with throughout history and it only seems to be getting worse as we go along. We're all subject to screwballs these days.
I've unfriended one person on Facebook so far. Wanted to do it long ago with her continual ranting about Hillary but I pretty much ignored it. Finally decided I didn't need her puss on my friend page anymore. Childish I suppose but it did give me a little pleasure. I think I'm going to be listening to music even more now and reading. Better for my peace of mind.
Going to head over to Filbygolly this morning and see what Phyllis Johnson Kendall has to sell in her Christmas shop. Otherwise, it's sewing projects and my book. It's coming right along and helps me
forget about the news. Finished a book yesterday by Tess Gerritsen called Body Double. It was pretty good. Now I'm reading Annie Proulx's Accordian Crimes.
Here are three pictures I liked in the Leader yesterday. Old one at Fort Worden and yesterday and today of Manresa Castle.
