August Saturday Afternoon

Been sitting here in my "office/sewing room" listening to Johnny Mathis while I finished one quilt square and played bingo the msn website. I set up a new jigsaw puzzle (1000 was too much hassle) and after an hour or so, I called Jen to see if there was a piece missing. Should have called much sooner. Hate it when my OCD takes over.  I'll keep working the puzzle, though. It's an outside edge piece and I can ignore that.

Think I've got a sinus issue or something playing around with my head. Have had slight dizziness for a couple weeks. Not horrible like vertigo but enough that I'm noticing. I tried to call and make a doctor appt for next week but our fabulous health care in this town prevented that.  The clinic's messenger service was on telling us to call 911 or call next Monday to make an appt.  Guess I'll nurse myself with the help of Dr. Google and just wait it out. I've also had some chest pain off and on for a couple days but it's not in the heart area and feels more like chest congestion. I'll probably make an appt next week just to be on the safe side.  It gets harder when you age to decide what is nothing and what you should pay attention to. As much as I pay for medical insurance, I shouldn't hesitate to go to the doctor whenever I feel off. Then again, most of the time -- it's nothing.

I've got a foot doctor appt next Wed or Thursday too.  It never ends.

Finished watching season 2 of Mindhunter on Netflix last night. The last song was Guilt by Marianne Faithful. Never heard it before but liked it a lot. Went to Youtube and surprisingly a lot of people went there to learn more about the song. One guy even wrote: how many people are here because they heard the song on Mindhunter?  I found that interesting.

I've joined various "groups" on Facebook and some are quite interesting.  Especially Clallam County police calls.  Reminds me of the days when Linda Pedersen and I both had scanners and kept track of various events in Port Townsend.  This group tells you where the cops are going and what the reason is. Also discusses accidents and domestic violence calls.  Just the kind of thing I find interesting. I know. Just call me Gladys Kravitz.

I got out my book called Dynamic Aging with instructions and pictures on how to exercise when you're older. So far, all I've done is highlight the various things they suggest you do daily. They're not that hard but starting to exercise and sticking with it is something I find very difficult to manage. Why? Cause I'm lazy, pure and simple.  But I'll get to it sooner or later. Especially since getting out of a chair and walking is becoming more and more uncomfortable.

Well, I guess I'll go make that salad now and look over Netflix and Prime to see what I can find of interest tonight.
