I woke up with a horrible leg cramp. I haven't been bothered with those blasted things in a long time so I'm just a little curious as to why. I've had a theory that tea drinking depletes the minerals in your body. I could be wrong but I've thought this before and now I'm a tea drinker and the idea resurfaced. I quit coffee because I was having bowel issues. I won't go into detail but we'll say it was unpleasant and a damn nuisance. The problems have lessened remarkably so I'm thinking I was correct in eliminating coffee. This fact is not something I'm happy about 'cause I like coffee. I had just bought two coffee grinders too. One at P.A. Goodwill and another at Sequim Goodwill. In case the first one didn't work that well. They both seem to be okay but now I have to donate back. I wanted to order Boyd's Coffee online as I had some at a restaurant and LOVED IT! Anyhow, I've never been one to stop at coffee drive-thru places as they're a little too expensive for my budget so at least I won't miss that. And I am saving money on coffee creamer (French vanilla) so there is that. I have black tea and green tea and found two more boxes of tea in the pantry that I forgot I had. Raspberry and some other nice sounding one. I usually only drink one cup in the morning and while I can drink it black, I prefer a little Splenda with it. This week I made up a pitcher of iced tea (using the black) and if my leg cramps are related, it's because I was drinking tea during the day and instead of just one cup in the morning. Have I bored you yet?
I just got up from an hour nap in my recliner with my electric blanket. I was walking around in a fog all day long because that leg cramp made me get up long before I wanted to. Clock said 5 but I was still on standard time so I guess it was 6. Whatever. That changing clock business screws up my system every time. Right now the clock reads 4:20 so I'm yawning a lot. This is generally my slump period.
As tired as I've been, though, I did plow ahead and work on various projects. Actually finished three Christmas gifts with the sewing machine and am working on rock painting at the kitchen table along with this decoupage kit I'm having fun with. A jigsaw puzzle sits nearby but I won't get to that today.
Dinner is going to be a piece of baked fish (boring!) and a small salad. Gonna kill of the ice cream later tonight so there is that.
I inventoried my Christmas gifts in the back room (stuff I've made) and there are close to 50 items! My shopping list has been cut way down this year as I think people need a break from gift exchanging but I'm going to rethink who I can give some of these things too. My kids aren't all that enthused with my sewn goods so I've got to think of others I can dump them on. ha ha
Am back into genealogy but am giving it a rest for a few days as I think about the direction I want to go in organizing my notes. I've made such a mess of one side of the family that I can't find anything I'm looking for. My calendar for November has me traveling to PT on Saturday for a memorial, to the doctor next Monday, and to the casino two days later for lunch with the girls. Two weeks after that is Thanksgiving and then.....yep...Christmas is close.
Hunter and Wayne drove 800 miles in one day and got home yesterday early evening. Haven't seen him yet but maybe I'll drive over there tomorrow and see what he's up to. Curious to hear how Sammy reacted to having him back home.
Have been enjoying the photos that Gale Durham is posting on Facebook. Go look him up. They're terrific!
