Thursday with gray skies

I just finished painting a few more rocks.  I've been experimenting and have found they look better if I paint them white or a light color first and then put on a design.  Or....I need to choose light colored rocks from the beach and not the dark ones I played with today.  I just put a tray full of them in the laundry room as there's a large window there and I needed to spray them once or twice and didn't want to have to pack everything outside.
Here's the laundry room (not too terribly far from my apartment. This is where we also take our recyling and our trash. It's taken outside later by the maintenance guy.  There's an ironing board set up but I don't know if anyone has used it. There's also a "share table" where you can put things you want to donate.  Today I picked up two large chicken broth cartons, a hot chocolate envelope, and two instant oatmeal packets. I put in a small calculator as I picked up a newer one at Serenity House yesterday. It's exactly like the one I had but looks nicer.  There are a few items on the table this morning that may have come from the lady's apartment across the hall from me. I heard she died during the night and her son has been cleaning out the place.  She was 93.  So, I guess I'll be getting a new neighbor at some point.

Here's some of the rocks that I've sprayed. Will need to spray again in an hour or two. I like the lighter rocks better.

I bought some new brushes yesterday and  a few  ink pens, trying to find the ones that will help me outline the rocks better.
I've got The Wonder Years playing on my roku now.  Found it on Hulu. I'm also watching old black and white reruns of Ozzie & Harriet on Amazon.  Lame at times but it does take me back in time.

Tomorrow (if I can work up the enthusiasm for it) I plan to frame a few cross stitch designs I've been working on. Framing is something I have to go very slowly with and accept the fact that it's not going to look as professional as I'd like it to.  Still, I can't afford the prices charged by the pros so the gifts I'm giving will have to suffice with Joyce's framing ability.  I don't even remember what all I've got stored away to frame but I know they're on the small side. I've got two larger cross stitch designs stored at Jenni's that I framed but need to unframe and take to a frame shop to have them done properly.  I put a whole lot of work into those larger pieces but I'd only ruin them if I tried gifting them with the framing they're sitting in now.  It will have to wait until I have money to spare.

Well, it's 4 o'clock already and I think I hear the meal cart coming down the hall. Where'd the day go?
Tomorrow is another physical therapy appt and Saturday Mary and her friend, Candi, are dropping in on their way to a birthday party for another friend. And I'll be going over to Mary Gaboury's for a little while in the afternoon to take pictures at the family picnic they're having in her nephew's backyard.  And I think that's it for now.
