I heard that a woman who moved in down the hall was into genealogy. I ran into her in the elevator this morning and asked her about her hobby. She proceeded to share some of her family stories she discovered. I told her about my search for Charlie Blankenship these past years and how I keep coming up blank. She told me to leave what info I have on her door and she'll look around. She subscribes to several genealogy websites and even helps people now and then for a fee. I was thrilled. Went right home and gathered up my Charlie clues and left it on the clipboard at her apt. I'm hopeful.
I went for a walk around the block earlier this morning. I thought about giving it a try using two walking sticks instead of my walker but I soon realized taking the walker was a better idea. Noticed when I was in shady areas that I should have worn a sweater. Fall is coming.
I had physical therapy in Hadlock yesterday. The lady was so nice. It made going much easier. She put me through some tests to check my balance. Out of 56, I got 48. Did okay except for when she wanted me to stand on one foot. I knew that wasn't happening. One of my goals is to be able to walk up and down stairs like a normal person instead of one step at a time. I'd also like to be able to go to the beach and climb over logs. That's probably not gonna happen, though. Ha!
Am waiting for my Thursday food pkg to arrive. I'll take a picture of it so you can see what I get. For free no less. I sometimes share parts of it with neighbors.
My daughter in Vancouver sent me a couple of pictures yesterday. One of Andy and Jake that I think is so cute and another of Poppy who was pooped as he got a lot of attention from kids when he went to soccer practice.
Amazon delivered my air fryer accessories yesterday so I'm going to pull out my new cookbook and see what I can make. Supposedly you can cook everything from shish kabobs to pizza to eggs to cakes. Looking forward to testing it all out.
