Barbara Shaw picked me up and we off to the pain clinic. Always love hanging with Barb. We may not see each other for weeks but when we catch up, it's nonstop talk on every subject. We arrived at 10:05 but my appt was 10:30. I got taken in and then laid on a guerney until NOON! People ahead of me but the nurses checking me and asking me a hundred questions were super nice. The doctor was nice too and his procedure was only 10 minutes long. Said I would be out but I was awake and aware the whole time but at least it didn't hurt. What did hurt was the b/p cuff and the nurse trying to find a vein. At one point, I started to get a cramp in my upper thigh. Those are KILLERS! And I hate them. Doctor said what I had done last year was aplasia (sp ?) and it takes a week or more to kick in. My cortisone shot in the low back today was suppose to make me feel better right away. And I think it worked as my lower leg isn't hurting right now. So happy.
Barb and I were going to hit Costco afterwards but they cautioned me to go slow and maybe I should wait in the car. Well, I wasn't doing that! I had my walker and I don't get to Costco that often. I was tired by the time I hunted for walnuts but a I kept my final tally down to $47. Barb did find the walnuts for me so I paid for them in the car. Still pleased with how little I dished out. We went to Jack in the Box and both had chocolate milk shakes. Expensive but they make the best ones and I hadn't had one in over a year or more.
I bought a dozen blueberry muffins. Only wanted six but was told I had to buy two pkgs. I walked up and down the halls when I got home and gave 11 away to fav neighbors. Was crowded but Barb goes to Silverdale and Poulsbo enough to know exactly where she's going so I just sat back and enjoyed the scenery. Was finally home, unpacked, and down with pjs on by 5 pm. I'm weary.
Had to chuckle when the nurse called Barb (out in her car) to ask if she was willing to be responsible for me and stay with me for 24 hours. She said of course but we both knew she was lying. haha
I was wanting to make some krispie treats to take tomorrow but that would have meant another Safeway stop. Costco had a box of 60 so I picked those up and will take a handful up tomorrow and save the rest for Xmas gifts for neighbors later next month.
Google MLS 2018528 and you can tour Lee & Elaine Arey's house on Cherry St. On the market for $599,000.
And here's my latest grand dog. Hunter and Taylor's new addition, Nellie. Short haired pointer I think. I'll get to meet her tomorrow.
