One Week Until Christmas

It's Sunday morning (9:15 a.m.) and my day looms ahead full of nothing much to do except whatever I choose to do. And it's most likely going to be various sewing jobs. And reading and napping. Exciting, huh?  Just texted with granddaughter Maddie asking her plans and the dates involved. She told me once and I forgot.

She goes to Alabama Jan 9- March 10 for air force officer training school. Then it's back to Columbus Air Force Base in Missisippi where her and Ants now live.  May 15-June 9 she's off to Texas for more schooling. She's going into healthcare administration. So proud of her.

OH MY! I just glanced out the window and see the roof across the courtyard is turning white and the snow has arrived. I don't mind as long as it's gone by Wednesday when my kids are coming.

Here's a picture I saw on Facebook yesterday that I thought was cute.

The rest of these I just plucked out of my collection so my blog post today might be a bit more interesting. No particular reason why I picked these. Just caught my eye. Click on to enlarge for viewing.

My brother, Les, stopped in yesterday so I made him pose for a quick photo too with his great grandson, Parker.

And last but not least, a picture of my grandson, Jacob, at his 9th birthday party in Vancouver, WA yesterday. His birthday was actually on Dec. 13th and I can hardly believe he's NINE already.
