One thing I've noticed lately is that I can't type worth a damn. I also can't write. I'm not sure how my penmanship got so bad but I assume it's because I've been typing everything these past years. One thing I hate about this laptop is that the curser moves to the beginning of a sentence ALL THE TIME and it drives me nuts! It also just hops to any part of a sentence I have just typed and I'm forever hunting for it. Not sure there's anything I can do about it, though, so I'm stuck with yet another life obstacle.
Man, did it ever rain hard last night. I even got up at 1 to look outside. Our summer was so warm and dry I was beginning to wonder if it was ever going to rain. And now I have to go change the font as my eyes are having a hard time adjusting. (Life is so hard sometimes)
IT's 9 a.m. and I'm not sure I like this font either. Let me try medium.
I've been very unhappy lately that I haven't been able to find the golf tournaments I like to watch. All I can find on the golf channel is world golf and womens golf. Google told me this morning that January is the start of what I think I want. The tv here is through Xfinity and I'm not a fan. You have to hop around too much to find what you want and if you just want regular tv, you can scroll on and on and on and find nothing. More often than not, I go to "Apps" and then I have stuff like Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Disney, and Pandora music. Much better.
I've been trying to do jigsaw puzzles the last couple of weeks but I have had way too much trouble even finding the borders so I box the puzzle up and go get another. I've done this at least six times. I finally decided enough was enough. I got out my sewing machine yesterday and I intend to play around with that instead. And when I get bored with that, I've got a cross stitch project going, an afghan I'm crocheting and a book I'm reading. Are you bored yet?
I got a cortisone shot in my knee on Oct. 26th but so far, it hasn't helped much. The doctor said my knee was wearing out and needed to be replaced. Which I may do eventually but I'm not in the mood right now so I'll continue to hobble around using my walker and walking stick.
A few days ago I managed to lose a part of my front tooth which flossing. It isn't real noticable as my front teeth have already taken a beating. One got chipped when I fell in 2013. I do hate that feeling when you have a slight different feeling with your tongue. If I had any sense I'd go to the dentist and get them all fixed up but I'm not in the mood to spend big bucks on my teeth at my age.
I made a list of things to yak about on my blog today but sadly, I can't read my writing on 3 or 4 of the items. They were probably boring anyhow. One reads LBZ and I have no clue what that means. Yesterday I got it in my head that it was too "busy" in here. I went through and packed up all my knicknacks. All except this bird -- one of my favorites.
Mary and I are going to UPS today as we both have Amazon prime things to return. I hope to get at least four postcards fixed up for mailing but that's about all for my schedule. Mary and Andy are going to a soccer game. Invited me but sitting in the rain doesn't appeal to me.
Halloween night was really a nightmare here. Mary had some kind of stomach pain that had her screaming in pain. Jake was beside himself and so was Poppy. Poor thing. Andy called 911 and much to my surprise Mary walked outside to get on the stretcher. At one point, I opened the door a crack and Poppy zipped by me like a flash. Ran down to the street where Mary was on the stretcher.Andy retrieved him and pretty soon the ambulance left.
After three days and extensive tests, the doctors could find nothing. Meanwhile Mary had nothing to eat and then a nurse suggested she had passed a rogue gall stone and that's why nothing showed up on the endoscopy, MRI, CT scan or any of the other tests she had. The doctor also thought that was probably the cause and they let her come home yesterday with a very limited diet. Poppy isn't leaving her side and Mary is resting hoping and praying nothing like that occurs again. Much to my disgust, the abulance guy just took her to the ER and dropped her off in the waiting room where she sat in horrible pain for almost two hours. I HATE ER'S!
Well, I need to get to those post cards now so I'll wind this up.
