Up at 6 (or was it 7?) oh, who cares. I'm up at any rate. Decided to take the memory foam mattress off my bed this morning as I've been waking up every single day and having to get out of bed -- because of a left hip ache. Disappears once I'm up and about, which I'm thankful for, but it is annoying having to get up when I'm really not done sleeping! On the plus side, it usually means I'm going to get a few things accomplished. Which I did. Stripped the bed and put on fresh sheets (kills my back so I do it fast) and then washed up dishes, vacuumed, washed two loads of laundry, cleaned out the fridge, and rearranged my little office area here in the kitchen. Just moved my desk a bit to the left but it makes the layout easier.
Today is trash pick up day but I sometimes don't have enough to warrant pulling those two large bins to the alley. Only one sack in the trash and the recycle is maybe a third full. I only have pickup every other Friday so I always worry a little bit that I might accumulate more garbage than usual if I go a full month without setting out the bins. I guess that's me living on the edge. ha ha
I might pull out the paints today and get started on rock painting again. I do have a wall quilt project almost finished in the sewing room too so I'm playing with the idea of starting something new at that end of the house. Sun just came out so I guess it's gonna' be a nice summer day, afterall. Sammy is sunning himself and barking everytime he hears a big truck go by. Which should keep him busy since it's Friday trash day.
Jen took off early to hit Ikea with her friend, Julie. Plans on buying all new stuff for her new house which they should be able to move into the first week of October. Inspector came by yesterday and only found one thing -- a leak in the crawl space under the master bathroom. They're going to request that be repaired.
Her and Maddie drove to PT so Maddie could have some of her senior picture shots taken in Chetzemoka Park. I'm really anxious to see them. I was going to go but glad I didn't as they were late heading into town and didn't get back into Port Angeles until 9 pm. I'm going into Port Townsend myself on Sunday. Looking forward to getting photos of cousins.
Sue came by last night and is so depressed. She was let go from her part time job at the grocery store and doesn't qualify for unemployment. Now she has to see what her options are at finding a new job.
Well, I think I'll make a quick Safeway run. Am making homemade soup today but don't have any noodles. And that's about all for now. Boring, I know but this is my life.
