Keeping Busy

I decided I couldn't wait until fall to pull out my sewing machine (too bored) so I'm back at it -- slowly.  It's kind of hard to get back in the groove when everything's been put away and it's all tidy and neat back there.  It's not now, however!  Amazing how quickly a sewing room can look like a tornado hit it as you look through various material stashes to see what you might want to make.  I settled on this wall quilt that has various country flags on it.  I had to refer back to the Youtube video over and over as it takes me a while to get something straight in my head -- and then it goes right out again!

Got up too early this morning (6 a.m.) but my hip was killing me and demanding I get on my feet.  I knew it would mean a nap later and it did.  A two-hour one!  Earlier this morning I went over to see the inside of Jen and Wayne's new house. It should close on September 30 and they're all very anxious to be done moving.  It's 1-1/2 miles from me.  You can put in the MLS# 117 1311 to tour the inside rooms and yard.  Here's some I took today.
2-car garage probably won't hold their cars as Hunter will need it for his "projects."
this driveway alongside their house goes to a home in the back of their house
this is the view from their deck. The road is a dead-end road
another view from the deck towards the neighbors in the back
a storage shed sits off the deck stairs
Love the raised garden beds and various trees
 the deck is quite large
 there's a safe in Hunter's bedroom closet
we were wondering what this bush is that has a pink flower. Anyone know?
And these outside the front door?  Unusual looking little plants.
This bush in the front is near a rhody but we don't know what this is
The road is deadend but has parking spaces across from their house

I've got a supply of rocks on my deck again as I plan on getting back into rock painting next week. Joyce Lee and I went down to the spit to load up our buckets.  I donated two boxes of rocks to the alumni booth at the fair and we gave them all away.

Nothing much on my agenda for the next two days except sewing and such.  Am driving to Port Townsend on Sunday, however, for a family picnic at Lee & Elaine Arey's house.
Really looking forward to seeing cousins.

Well, time to hit the recliner and see what I can find on Netflix or Amazon.  Started a cross stitch sampler that should be done by Christmas. Maybe earlier but it's slow going.

I'm giving away this color 19" Sharp tv. Works fine. Anybody want it? I can deliver to PT Sunday or you can pick it up here. Just sitting in the garage. (I bought another small set with a built-in VCR)
And here's one of the funniest pictures I saw on Facebook this week
Now THAT'S funny!

And last but not least - the latest picture of Jacob.  Made a tie-dye shirt at his daycare.
