Traveling to PT

It was too hot for me today.  I left PA around 9 a.m. and had traffic all the way to PT. Stopped at Joy Bland's place on Egg and I Road in Chimacum to drop off the Elvis memorabilia that a mutual friend is going to pick up.  I've been to Joy's at least once or twice and while I meant to look at Google maps before I left just to be sure, I figured I knew where she was.  Nope.  Got lost.  I turned off on Eaglemount Rd and stayed on that until I hit Center Road.  Once I hit Egg & I, I made my first mistake and turned left instead of turning right.  She had sent me directions too but did I pay close attention? No. I'm an idiot.  I finally had to call her so she could lead me in over the phone.
From there I went over to Linda Johnson's house in Hadlock to drop off a picture for Mary McMahon. Linda didn't read my message on Facebook that I was coming so she was quite surprised to see me.  Since I was in the neighborhood, I went to the house where the baby shower I was attending later was going be so I could drop off my package. It was kind of heavy and I wasn't sure if there would be parking close by. (there was ...but oh well)

Next I was going to Sharon Sofie's to drop off some yearbooks from the 1980s. I've been to Sharon's before and was sure I would drive right to it but no, I had on my stupid head today. I drove and drove up one street and down another. Finally gave up and went over to Jan Boutilier's to drop off some photos (nobody home) and then over to Sandy Ellis' place to give her this old PT picture. I also gave her a rock.
I told her how much trouble I was having finding Sharon's house so she told me to stop at her daughter, Wendy's place a block away as Sharon's daughter and her are good friends. Nobody home. I went back to Sharon's neighborhood and this time I drove right to it.  I knew she wasn't there as we talked on the phone while she was in the church parking lot.  I had to drive back to Jan's as I forgot one picture I meant to give her and then I drove to Ruth's.

She had told me she wouldn't be home until 12:15 as she was going to church.  I had another lady meeting me there for some PT memorbilia she wanted so after I rang Ruth's doorbell to make sure she wasn't there, I walked around to the Ruth's backyard to stick some yard decorations in that I thought she would like.  I came back to the front of the house, did my business with Linda Waters from Everett.

I had to use the bathroom so I tried Ruth's door and it was unlocked. I walked in and there was her caregiver on her cell phone and Ruth eating soup. They said they never heard the bell.  Twice as I was driving towards Ruth's, I almost missed turns. For some reason, the neighborhood just looked different to me.  I was a bit alarmed at how scattered I was since I had already had trouble finding Sharon's place.

I left Ruth's and headed to the baby shower for Mary Gaboury's granddaughter, Brittany, who lives in Bonnie Lake. Pictures I took included Mary, her daughter, Kathleen, and Brittany who is having a boy on Sept. 9.
The shower cake was really pretty and the refreshments were terrific. I got to see Cathi White and Sharon Brooling Johnson and Bonnie Brooling who I hadn't seen for quite a while.

I left the shower a little after 3 and then stopped at my brother's house to drop off some stuff that Lill wanted.  I headed home and again, lots of traffic. Seemed to be way more coming at me than going in my direction, however.  Quite long lines of ferry like traffic. Not sure where they were all coming from or if there had been a wreck earlier keeping them off the road for a while.

I decided spur of the moment to stop at Dollar Tree as I needed a few items and then I drove through Jack in the Box for a burger as I knew I wasn't going to fix dinner.  Unloaded the car, changed clothes, turned on the fans, and sat down to gobble up the burger. Okay. And a shake!  ha ha

The next three days will be spent sorting and cleaning up various items in the garage for  the sale on Sat. and Sunday.  Mary Gaboury is coming up to help me on Friday (even though she has to sleep on a recliner)  Wayne and Hunter moved the bed yesterday and took my loveseat over to Joyce Lee's. Joyce will come help at the sale too. I sure will be glad when it's over and done with.

And that was my day. Needless to say, I am tired now.
