I woke up Sunday with a horrible case of bursitis in my hip. And it wasn't even the hip that sometimes plagues me. Oh, man was I unhappy. Pulled out my cane and walker (yes I have both) to hobble around the house feeling sorry for myself. I had a terrible night, moaning every time I had to turn over. This old body isn't faring that well through the ages. I used some marijuana cream on it, took ibuprofen, applied a hot rice bag, and prayed. I was a little better this morning. Not good but not as bad as Sunday and Monday were. I have a doctor appt tomorrow morning (for some other body issue) but I'm hoping he'll agree to a cortisone shot, as well.
I drove into Sequim to have lunch with Mary Norton. Took a picture of her house and left a painted rock on her porch.
After visiting in her frontroom, I drove across town to Jack in the Box as I wanted to get one of their specials - fishwich w/fries and drink for $4. Wouldn't you know -- get in line (and they're slow as molasses) and they don't have the same special the PA Jack does. We got junior burgers and drove over to Walmart parking lot to sit under a tree and eat.
That's Mary in the car but you can barely see her. From there I drove to the Sequim library to unload a box of books I wanted to donate. Stepped inside and was amazed at how much the place had changed since I lived in Sequim. After dropping her off, I went to a Safeway in Port Angeles to pick up a few items.
Outside of the 9 a.m. doctor appt tomorrow, I have little on my agenda for the whole month of August. Yeah, it's an exciting life I lead. But that's okay. I'm too tired to go anywhere anyhow. Mary is going to Victoria tomorrow with her cousin. Mary goes all over.
I didn't make it to the Jeff. County fair last week and from what I hear, the exhibits and attractions are continuing to go down. That's too bad. I doubt I'll hit the Clallam Fair either and it's in my neighborhood.
Well, I think I'll go figure out something to make up for dinner with that leftover turkey. I may grind some up for sandwiches and even freeze a little for sandwiches later. Then I'm gonna settle in with my new (to me anyhow) PC that a friend fixed up for me. I discovered some fun card games and crossword puzzles and even bingo that are keeping me entertained.
And last but not least....the latest Mary posted on her Facebook page of Jake. Sorry to repeat myself but he is so dang cute!
