It's 3:20 in the afternoon and I seem to have been on the go all day. I loaded up my car about 8 this morning as I wanted to get it over and done with. And it filled up to the max too! Sadly, Hunter showed up an hour later. Darn. I could have saved myself all that toil and sweat. Anyhow, I was off to Goodwill. Monday they wouldn't take my saw or pillows. Today they wouldn't take my printer/scanner. I didn't really want to use Goodwill anyhow but I was too worn out to make two trips to Sequim and then have to unload everything by myself. Goodwill does make it easy to get rid of your stuff as they have a drive up ramp and a kid who takes your boxes right at your car once you get them out. I do not like however, Goodwill's policies on selling. They certainly aren't cheap and considering they get everything free, shame on them!
Be that as it may, I drove away heaving a sigh of relief that my car was empty. I went out to Walmart to pick up a few items. Bought a little Jennie turkey and tomorrow I'm gonna have a nice dinner. I should invite somebody over but I'll more than likely kill it all off myself over a period of days. I found a couple envelopes of yeast in a kitchen drawer and was going to make some cinnamon rolls but was too tired. I found a recipe for cinnamon rolls where you mix everything up, pour in a square pan, top with the topping and bake for a half hour. It is now cooking and I'm excited as what I planned for dinner tonight was boring. (fish) Now at least I have a yummy dessert to have afterwards.
I put some of my small tables and lamps on the Clallam buy and trade website (on Facebook) but didn't get any hits so I switched over and posted them on the free website. Today I unloaded my dad's old rickety ladder, my sewing table, a coffee table, an exerciser, and a barrel. Still have a small pile of junk on the side of the house but once Wayne makes a dump run, I'll throw them in his truck. I kinda miss my crows coming in for a drink but I unloaded all three bird baths. All they really did was make more work for me 'cause they were pig birds and loved to dump their food in my fresh water.
The back bedroom is holding various boxes (some open) of misc. stuff that I'll either take to me new apartment or leave at Jenni's. Those decisions will have to be made closer to the time I'm moving so I can judge how much room I have or don't have. Definitely feels good to be rid of everything I've gotten off the property so far. I'm sure I'll miss some of my fabric, some books, some knickknacks, some puzzles, but I doubt I'll miss my clothes. ha ha
I've been struggling to find things to watch on TV at night. Nothing seems to be all that worth devoting time to. I did start watching The Sinner on Netflix and it was pretty good but it has several episodes to go and I kind of see where it's going. I do like Bill Pullman, though, so maybe I'll give it a little time. I have YoutubeTV until the end of the month which gives me a whole bunch of channels but no matter how much I surf, I can't find anything worthwhile. Most have repeat stories and they all have entirely too many commercials. I gave up trying to watch the news. It was too depressing.
Jenni takes Hunter to SeaTac Friday to fly back to AZ for the last of his schooling on diesel engines. When he's done (13 weeks I think) he'll drive his truck on home.
Well, here's my cinnamon rolls just out of the oven. Gotta make some icing to drip over them now.
Recipe said to cook them for a half hour but they didn't look done to me, so I added another ten minutes. Easy peasy recipe and I do like cinnamon rolls.
Mary sent me a cute picture that Andy took of Jake and Poppy on the deck so naturally I have to share that.
