Mid week

Just got back from riding around town. I seem to do that a lot these days. And there's always something interesting to look at. Mainly the changes to the neighhborhoods. Saw this little "pocket Park" up on 22nd & Wilson. All it had was a picnic table as I recall.
I drove by all the relatives houses as I had Trish (my neighbor) with me and I love showing off the town. Course she knew all kinds of things about the town I wasn't aware of too.  Like how a big office building (and other businesses I think) are going to be built in that vacant field on the corner of F & San Juan. Across from where the store was. Also said Del's Grocery is going to be Dove House Cafe. I'll go there just to see the changes.

We hit North Beach so I could get some more rocks for painting. Lots of cars but not nearly as many as I've encountered in the past. At least I could park easily. Fog was over the water so you couldn't see a thing but heard lots of foghorns.

We also stopped by Kai Tai Nursing Home so she could give a wall decoration to our old neighbor, Tee. I threw in a painted rock. I told Trish to pick one and she chose the giraffe.  I'm going to have to make more of those as they seem to be a favorite.  Tee's apartment was cleaned out yesterday and I took a look at it empty. It's identical to mine and I thought about asking for a move but as I expected, the manager said no unless there was a medical need. Ha! Amazes me how she can think these things up so quickly to give a NO!  What does a medical need have to do with it?!  I would have liked it because because below the apt is the lobby and I wouldn't be hearing the loud  door SLAMS that I do now.  Manager said that wasn't a good enough answer as everyone has to put up with slams.
I didn't like the carpet in there. Berber fiber and needed to be cleaned or replaced but I liked the view better than the courtyard one I have now.  You could even see water from the window.  PT Bay I guess. You could also see the parking lot and people coming and going plus I'd have the morning sun. My window here faces north and I like that too as it keeps the apartment cooler.
There's three empty apartments on my floor now. Not sure if there's any downstairs.  The lady across from me died last week (age 93) and her son is cleaning it out now.

I finished my bird puzzle yesterday. Going to give puzzles a little break for now and either do some sewing or rock painting. Trish & I went to Goodwill and I bought a nice counted cross stitch book I may look over to find a new project.

Here's a picture I took of Trish at North Beach.  We drove by Bill & Teresa Arey's house and I mentioned Bill was my cousin. She was surprised. Knew both of them well.
Well, the rest of the day is mine to do as I please.  Tomorrow is physical therapy at 10 and then I have five days in a row with no appts.  Yea!  I got my right ear flushed yesterday morning and ever since, it's been plugged up!  Maddening. It wasn't plugged until the medical assistant decided to remove wax.  I hope it pops soon.

Just saw a picture on Facebook of my grandson, Hunter, with his girlfriend. She's visiting the place she'll be staying when she goes to college. He'll never pose for me so I'm using the one she posted.

I've got One Million Years BC playing on the Turner Classic Movies right now. Somehow, this corny 1966  movie always appealed to me.

Well, I guess I'll get on Google now and try to figure out who appeals to me even a little bit to vote for. It's hard when you don't know any of the candidates. I appreciate the ones listing themselves as Trumpers as I can eliminate them quickly.  Here my latest Face book Funny.
