What To Do About my Pictures

Blogger has been playing around changing their settings so now I have to experiment and see if I like anything better. Slows me down but I'll manage.  One thing I don't care for is how the pictures I insert are shown in one line going down. I'd like to be able to scatter them as I've seen different layouts on other blog sites.  At any rate, I'll just continue on as best I can. Shown above are four photo boxes I pulled out of the closet.  I have two more boxes that are larger size pictures but for now, I want to see what I can do about these regular size pictures. I do have them organized by subject matter but I need to talk myself into disposing of some.  As I sit here and think about it, I know I'm going to be making this a long running project. For one thing, I want to discuss each picture and name the people in it and date it when possible.  I can either start experimenting with various pens that won't smear and will write on picture backs okay or I can opt to type up descriptions and glue them carefully to the backs. Not sure if that's the way to go, however; maybe I should carefully tape the descriptions.  Several are already scanned in and stored on my computer but I still need to figure out how to give those photos descriptions. I may have to experiment more and see what is available. I know there has to be photo programs to accommodate what I'm trying to organize.

Well, I guess I'll just grab box #1 and dig in. One step at a time. Maybe something will come to me as I'm working. Ideally, I think most of these need to be on my computer. Perfect storage place and I already have a ton of folders started for various categories --- friends, family (broke down by cousins, siblings, aunts, uncles, etc), various towns, houses, animals, sewing, crafts, even one with cartoons about Trump. haha

When I get weary of this project I can turn my chair around and start decorating the rocks I painted white yesterday.
And when I get those done, I can pull out another jigsaw puzzle.  I've also got a sewing project in the works in the bedroom.
My sister-in-law stopped in this morning to show me the latest quilts she's donating. Belongs to a quilt club and they have at least 50 members. One of these was made by other members who did a square using hands (and sign language).

I've had golf on since I got up this morning. Last night I looked around on Amazon Prime to try and find stuff to put in my favorites. You really have to search hard these days. At least I do as most of their stuff doesn't interest me.  But I managed to find quite a few shows that I thought might do. One was called Birders and was a documentary on birds in Central Park in NY. My, but my interests have changed as I've aged. Ha!

The leaves on the tree outside my window are blowing in the wind. I hope that means cooler temperatures are on the way. I had a heck of a time sleeping last night even though I had two small fans running.

The activity director continues to try and fill up the monthly calendar with things  for us to do. It's hard for her to get us oldtimers out of our rooms. Me included. I don't really want to play bingo as I play it on my computer all the time and I'm not keen on sitting in a room with a mask on.  She's planning a daily coffee get together each morning at 10:30 so I'll probably go to that and see if I can't meet some new ladies.

Maybe I'll push my walker downstairs and get some fresh air.
