Weatherman or weather lady I should say says 97 degrees possible on Sunday. Ugh! Sometimes the peninsula doesn't get as hot as the Seattle area and I hope that's the case this weekend. I'l'l manage, though. Thankfully, my apartment faces north so I don't get the direct sunlight. Still, I know I'll be using all three of my fans this weekend and probably going without a bra. Not that it matters. No one pays any attention to my bosom anymore. haha Not that they ever did.
I just got back from a quick Safeway run. Only saw one person I knew and she recognized me behind the mask too. I'm not sure if it was Shirley or Marlene but it was one of the Hinkley girls. She was looking for cheese; I was looking for baloney. I didn't want a big package but that was all Safeway offered so I got a quarter of pound at the deli. You'd think baloney would be cheap but not particularly. I also picked up a half gallon of ice cream (because I'm happier when it's in the freezer) and a six-pack of A&W rootbeer. I buy those little cans as they seem to be just the right amount. I also picked up my lotto ticket for ten draws. My system hasn't been working worth a darn lately so this time I let the machine pick.
I've got a few rocks soaking in the sink as I want to start painting again. I've got my work area set up in here so I can paint and still work a puzzle and be on my computer. The sewing machine is in the bedroom so I could conceivably do it all. I was in a punky mood yesterday. I think because I hadn't got enough sleep the night before. Nothing like toe and foot cramps to completely ruin a night's slumber. I'm making an effort to drink more water although I feel I drink enough. I've never been able to figure out why those cramps appear and then leave me alone for weeks.
At any rate, I did have a reprieve last night but they were lurking around the outside edges, I could tell. I moved to the recliner about 4 am as that seems to help. Watched a movie last night with Ben Kingsley called House of Sand and Fog. From 2003. He got several nominees for his performance.
Sue and Paul brought me some rocks yesterday They were going to stop at Penny Saver for sandwiches before heading back to Port Angeles.
I got weary of outlining this cross stitch flower pattern I've been working on so I set it aside and started working on this cardinal sitting in winter branches. Only problem is, I didn't have the right shade or red so my bird is kinda' pink but I can't quit as the material costs too much. I'll have to pick up some embroidery thread next time I go to Sequim, I guess. My sister does want me to take her to the Sequim Vet on Aug. 25th so perhaps we'll make a Walmart run while up there.
