It's Friday but that doesn't really mean much anymore

It's a little after 2 pm and I did my running around from 10 to 12.  Mary G and I went up to the corner of Taft & Taylor as I wanted to figure out which house this author had written a book about renovating. I had written to her but she didn't give me a house number; just a corner. After I took pictures of the houses on that corner I came back home and looked at her website again about the book and the picture indicates (to me anyhow) that it was the old Butler place.  This is where the author lives and wrote her book on. Called House Lessons by Erica Bauermeister.

From there Mary and I went to the carwash up by Goodwill. I'm always a little nervous driving in those so I was glad Mary was with me. Only cost $11 and it was worth it to be to get all that longtime dirt off.

Then we drove to my brother's place out on Four Corners Road so I could take a picture for Lill of two of her quilt club projects/.

There was a frog outside her quilt barn who hopped over to the side of the building so I could take his picture.

We drove back into town and went to the bank and Mary and Dave needed some cash for the Port Angeles run they're making this afternoon.  We also went down to Penny Saver to pick up sandwiches for lunch and buy some lotto and Hit 5 tickets.

Since the lady across my hall has died, her son has been here all week trying to get the place cleaned out. He put a lot of clothes in the laundry room on the free table. I picked up a hat I thought my daughter, Sue, might like. She's coming up tomorrow to bring me some rocks for painting.  I also took one the purses on the table as it was big enough that I thought it might be easier for me to pack my wallet and my camera in the same bag when I'm out and about.  Sometimes you just have to try out new purses to see if they suit you.  He also had this shoe caddy displayed and I thought perhaps I could clean out the floor of my clothes closet by getting my shoes up onto a door.

I chose this utility closet door that is down the hall from the bathroom and is always open as I'm in and out of it all the time.  You learn more and more ways to utilize space when you live in a small apartment.

I signed up to get my free flu shot next Wed in the activity room. I debate every year if I need to bother but I usually end up getting it, even though I usually feel sick right afterwards. Plus my arm aches. I have enough body aches without purposely making a new one.  My dermatologist appt went quite well. I have had this psoriasis patch on the back of my scalp near the hairline for years  and it won't go away (probably because I'm always picking at the damn thing!) Anyhow, the doctor injected sterioids about six times into it (yeah, it hurt a little bit) but she seemed to think it would go away and not come back. I wasn't expecting that. Hope it's true.

I didn't sleep well last night. Had to get up entirely too often to pee and my gut hurt off and on too. I overate yesterday so it was my own fault. Some days you just find yourself grazing. The dinner menus for next week arrived yesterday so I chose the alternate for Sunday. A large salad.  I can make it into four or five lunches easily and that helps me not eat all afternoon.

I finished a book yesterday. The Settlers.  Third of four books about Swede immigrants coming to Minnesota in the 1850's.  Will start the next one this weekend called Last Letter Home.  Well, I think I'm going to need a little recliner nap now.  That sometimes happens if my night time sleep isn't that great.  Only thing on my agenda is to play with the jigsaw puzzle I've got in the works. Not sure what is for dinner. It says green salad, seafood melt, baked tomatoes, and banana cream pie.  The tomatoes don't sound that great but I like the idea of pie.  Course our menus have been hit and miss a lot lately and we often don't get what's listed.  But oh well, I'm not cooking or cleaning up after much, and my Safeway trips are limited.  No ice cream in the house right now so my treat is gonna have to be a graham cracker.  It's all about the food with me these days. Or....probably it's always been about the food. haha

Saw this picture on FB of Jenni and her old girlfriends of when they all had babies together and got together regularly with play groups.  Somewhere I have pictures of the kids as younguns' and as teens. I think I'll look for it and post on FB.  Jenni is 2nd from left in this photo.
