Another Friday under my belt

I participated in a group activity today. I hadn't planned on it but the poor activity director tries so hard to get people involved, I felt sorry for her. She even came to my door.  There are about 42 people here and 5 guys come to activities once in a while. Usually just a couple, depending on what it is. Of the rest of the people, there are maybe 6 or 7 women who come to some of the stuff. I'm not one of them so I'm not judging. For the most part, people just keep to themselves. I don't think the virus has that much to do with it really. My sister lives in a place down by Safeway and she used to try and organize events for get togethers but it was like pulling teeth.

Today it was this counselor guy and another woman from some hospice church or something? who plans on coming once a month to let people talk about their feelings.  One guy started in on how Biden is going to ruin the nation and how Trump has done a good job. I felt my blood pressure going up and decided at that point I was going to participate in the discussion.  I made sure I made a comment about how glad I am that Trump is probably on the way out.  Of course, we weren't discussing politics; this guy just wanted to make us sit there and listen to his rhetoric about how he spent time overseas and how China is going to ruin the world and people just don't realize it. Blah blah blah....

I made good progress on my "projects" today. Finished 40 more photo cards for Xmas gifts and started painting Santa rocks.

I looked around the apartment to see what all I had in the way of wrapping material and boxes so I can start wrapping a few Xmas gifts. At least the ones I intend to take to Jenni's for Thanksgiving in case I don't get back up there before Dec. 25th.  This Sunday will be my 8th month anniversary of moving in here.  My calendar is completely blank of any activities or appts until Thanksgiving three weeks from now.  But I'm okay with that.

Well, I don't have any pictures to share so think I'll go look at some of my oldies and find something to post.
