I've been moving from one activity to another today. Favorite one was to take a nap. Yeah, it's a busy life for me. I went down to the library and brought up five books. Always makes me feel better to come back from the library with books in hand. Even if the library is just the retirement building library. There's a lot there and I had the place to myself. I've been reading Tommyknockers by Stephen King but it was kind of pulling me down and I decided I needed a diversion. The books I picked up included:
The sky is falling by Sidney Sheldon; An object of Beauty by Steve Martin; Old Friends by Tracy Kidder; The Winner by David Baldacci, and Masterpieces of Murder by Agatha Christie. I'm actually kind of looking forward to digging into them tomorrow.
Other activities today included crossword puzzle, jigsaw puzzle, and strip sewing some crumb quilt pieces. I've got everything set up in the living room so I can just leave it in place and skip to something else when the mood strikes. Had the news on tv but it's just one damn commercial after another and I'm not in the mood. Like Leaf Gard. Sick of that one. And Medicare insurance to get all the benefits we have coming in this pandemic.
My flicker bird returned to pick at the metal under the eaves on my window so I went outside to get a picture.
Exciting, huh?
