visit to PA

Had a great time visiting Jenni and Wayne in Port Angeles for the weekend. She waited on me hand and foot and I loved the fajita dinner she served.

We went to this food trailer just outside of town and picked up the most delicious burgers to bring home.  Called The Corner Caboose and it's at Laird's Corner.
Since we were nearby, Jen and I stopped at the Elwha Casino for about 15 minutes. She made $30, I lost $15.  I left Monday morning (woke up to a few snow flakes and that disturbed me) but the roads were clear. Stopped at the Dollar Store to buy a few items and continued on to 7 Cedars to have lunch with three friends.  I had a cup of chowder and it was wonderful.  I didn't win any money, though. I probably stayed for less than an hour. One of my friends won $125.  I hadn't been there in months and it's just as well I lost my money because now I'm not all that excited about going back.

Sue drove over in her new truck she bought in Bellingham. '97 Ford Ranger.

I've already posted most of my pictures on Facebook but for those of you who don't use FB, here's a few I took....
Jen takes Sammy for a daily walk in their old baby stroller because he can't walk anymore.
Hunter's three trucks. The one in the rear was given to him by his employer as a graduation gift. He sold the red one while I was there and he has another truck in the garage he's working on.
Hunter and Wayne posing for me. Wayne had fixed me breakfast. He's such a  sweetie.
Jeni's clock collection in the living room and her cookie jar collection below.

This kitchen queen cupboard was my grandmothers and I had it during my marriage and afterwards. I gave it to Jenni and she's going to pass it along to Catie, my oldest granddaughter.
Sammy sleeps by the stove now and eats there too. Wayne carries him outside to pee. So sad.
I slept in the music room. Jen put up some of Wayne's 45's all around the top wall.
Here's the picture of Sue's truck after the tree fell on it. No insurance came through as they considered it an act of God. The truck runs fine but she has to figure out a way to get the back part cut off. I don't know if she knows anyone.

Jen has this quilt that I made her on her bed. I took a picture of it as I may want to make another. I remember it was fun.

I went over to Judi Robbin's apartment today so she could give me a quick trim. I took a before picture but I was still ugly in the after picture so I opted to not show that one.  haha

Hospital called an hour ago and said there was a cancellation in the mammogram schedule if I wanted it so I'm heading over there on Tuesday instead of May 13th. Might as well get it over with.

The carpet layers have been here all week. No new carpet yet, though, as it takes forever to tear up the old stuff and the mat. They're working just outside my door right now.  One thing I've noticed about traveling these days....I don't really care for it. It did me good to get out of town, though, if for no other reason to remember that I'm perfectly contented being a homebody. It's hard to get used to other beds, pillows, furniture, toilet, and just about everything. I was really contented to be in my recliner last night with my jammies on and my remote in hand. I hopped back and forth between a golf tournament and Alaska, the last frontier.

Tomorrow I'm picking up an old classmate (Marlene Dudleson) who will be staying at PT Motel. Her sister lives in town and Marlene lives in Idaho with her son. Haven't seen her in years.

And I think that's the extent of my calendar activities this week outside of going down to Janie's if she needs something.  My latest health concern is Schaumberg's Disease. I know. I never heard of it either.
Here's a picture I took of one of my legs when it first appeared. Both legs are involved but there doesn't seem to be any cure for it so I'm destined to have ugly legs. Not that anything changes. My legs have never been my favorite body part and they never will. Google says not to take acetamyacin. Great!  Doctors have said not to take ibuprofen because of kidney issues.  I'll have to rely on CBD oils I guess. And wearing support hose.  Ahhhhl....the joys and adventures of walking the old age road.
And now for your viewing pleasure......

And a cute Facebook cartoon to keep everything level.....
