Last Weekend of March

Well, what am I going to do today? Probably anything I'm in the mood for.  It's 9:18 a.m. and I've been up for two hours. I've already completed the minor tasks I had on my to-do list.  Unloaded the dish strainer, put a freebie in the laundry room, filled my vitamin cups, straightened up the refrigerator, rearranged a few items in my bedroom closet, checked online to see if my stimulus check has arrived (nope), put on my support socks (yes, that's a chore), made my bed, and cleaned out the toaster oven. All easy peasy.

I checked out the new appliances in the laundry room. It appears they kept the dryer but put on a new coin dispenser. They installed a new washer and upped the price to wash. Irritates me no end how people are so greedy.  Also irritates me how you have to pay $1.50 to dry for one hour but you usually only need 30 or 35 minutes for your clothes to be dry.  We should have the option to put in however many coins we need for the load.

I made donuts in my air fryer yesterday. I found my donut cutter wouldn't really cut the dough very well (I used Pillsbury biscuit dough in a round tin). I may try again but use my only recipe using yeast.  I have to really plan out any cooking I'm going to do as my kitchen is cramped and you pretty much have to clean up as you go or you run out of room.  I'm also continuing to tweak very nooks and crannies in my apartment as I find better spots to store things and use my space better. Just little things but it all adds up over time and I enjoy the challenge.

My hummingbird has been coming in to eat for the last couple of hours so that's my view out the window. Still trying to decide what the weather is going to do. It's gray and cloudy but I'm guessing it might clear up.  I drove up to Port Angeles yesterday morning to do a load of laundry in Jenni's big washer for Janie. I didn't stop to shop or even gamble at the casino. Just too worn out. Traffic is pretty much a given any time you travel that road and there are a few spots you have to navigate through road construction. I did notice a few new things going up on the way into P.A.

When I got back to town I took Janie's laundry into her apartment and then went to Penny Saver to pick up the sandwich she wanted. Also delivered some clothes she needed. Monday I'll take her crutches as they want to see how well she can walk with them.  Only thing on my calendar for the upcoming week is an eye appt on Thursday with an opthomologist.  Four weeks after that is the appt with my new doctor. I can hardly wait for that as my hip continues to plague me as do my numb fingers. I'll be glad to find out exactly what is causing this numbness that just appeared one day and never went away.

My jigsaw puzzle is half done so I think I'll play around with it today and see how close I can come to finishing it up.  My crumb quilt pieces are awaiting my attention too. Such an intersting blog I'm writing today. Ha!

As I drove down 19th St the other day, I noticed mailboxes in front of my Uncle Jim's house that I never noticed before. Here's a before and after.

I've got golf on now. Have had it on since I got up. I sometimes turn on the news but it doesn't take long for me to turn it off in disgust.  Same ole crap.  And way too many drug commercials.

Maybe I'll go for a quick drive around town to see if I can find anything interesting to take a picture of.
