My Tuesday

I've actually managed to get a few things done today.  I sewed and cut 17 more crumb quilt squares in my quest to make some more bags. It's a tedious routine and I try to only spend an hour at a time working on the various steps.  I need 18 to make one bag and so far I have enough for three bags.

Sometimes in bed at night when I can't drop off to sleep(often) I think about ways I can rearrange the apartment.  This time I opted to set up my little tv in the bedroom and put my CD player/radio next to it. That might not sound like much but it meant moving a few other items to accommodate it and that's usually all it takes to satisfy my need. haha
I went to the hospital at 1:30 and thought I would sit and read for 15 minutes because they want you there 15 minutes early. There was a bit of a traffic jam with some cars in line for their shot but as soon as I found a parking spot, I opened up my book -- and then my phone rang.  My sister is done with her shoulder surgery and feeling ever so miserable with pain.  She told me she expected to be sent to Kai Tai tomorrow but by ambulance so her son and brother won't be picking her up. She's in quarantine for two weeks after getting there and then she can have a visitor if they wear masks and stay 6' apart. I'm hoping they'll allow me to bring her dog in too.

While waiting for my mammogram, I ran into an old classmate (Sharon Sofie) and we chatted briefly before I was called in.  Afterwards, I drove to the library to pick up a book they said was available that I had put a request in for.  It was crowded up there too.

From there I went to Sea Breeze gas station/store. No reason except I had never been inside since the new store was built and I was curious.  That new store has been up for years so obviously, it wasn't that high on my to-do list.  I also wanted to ask about the car wash next to it.  The quick go-through is only $5.  I also spur-of-the moment decided I'd buy a chicken burrito from their deli counter. Had it for dinner so tomorrow I'll finish off the lasagna Tami gave me yesterday.

After I got home, I got into my comfy clothes and sat down to computer chores. Paid off my Amazon bill and mailed off a greeting card. Wrote my weekly short story earlier this morning. The topic this time was "Where did you go on vacation as a child?"

Tomorrow I'll go down to Janie's and await the Lincare guy to arrive from Port Angeles with her oxygen tanks. I hope it won't be an all day sit but I'll take a book, just in case.  I've got a jigsaw puzzle set up here in the living room and I'll probably play with that tomorrow.

And that's about all I got for today. Here's a cartoon from yesterday's paper that I identified with.
