It's Friday

I've managed to keep myself busy today. I gave the hummingbird some fresh nectar, baked a cake and gave away five pieces, took a neighbor to the library, vacuumed, did dishes, wrote an email, posted on Facebook, did the crossword and wordle (I guess right pretty much every single time), and I put in a couple of hours at the sewing machine. I've got a large bin full of scrap pieces of material that I intend to make into crumb quilt squares. Takes forever so I'll be slowly emptying the bin for months I'm sure. I've also got a pretty good jigsaw puzzle going and I should get it finished this weekend. This particular one (550 pieces) has been fun to do so I may look for others by this guy. (Bob Fair)

I started watching the next season of Ozark last night so now I'm hooked on it again. Even though Laura Linney plays a wicked one and Jason Bateman plays a wimpy one.  Amazon sent me a new CD today. Eric Clapton and JJ Cale. Heard them on Pandora Music on my Roku and knew I had to have that music.

I'd kind of like to attend the Historical Society Open House tomorrow out on the airport cutoff road. Maybe I'll see if Mary Gaboury wants to ride along. My daughter, Jenni, is coming to town on Tuesday and we're going to lunch at some place downtown called The Anchor.  We'll leave on the 21st to drive to Vancouver and will probably be there for a month or more.

I'm still reading East of Eden but as usual, I start to yawn before I've gotten too far so I suspect I'll be working on this book for some time. Irritates me no end as the story is super good and I get annoyed when I have to stop and take a nap.  The next one on my list (it arrived from Thriftbooks.com) is The Boys, a life story of Clint & Ron Howard.  I've seen their interviews on Youtube and found them all very entertaining.

Every now and again, I think it would be interesting to look back on my diary notes to see what I was doing on this day.  Talk about a boring life!  I was obviouisly hit and miss from 1972 on. I had two entries for May 6. One I won't discuss and the other was in 1972 when I wrote:

Bought another goldfish but it died right away.

Yeah, my life story would really put a person to sleep.  Either I deleted a bunch (which I probably did) or I just plain lost interest as my last entry is December of 2015.  One of these days (it's on my to-do list) I need to go over all my diary notes and decide what I want to keep and want needs to go bye bye.

I'm still watching a lot of youtube in the evening. One I caught recently was this one:

And that's about all I have for today.  And there goes my phone again. Another "United States". Am so sick of the interruptions. I usually slide the call over to answer and then click "End" right away so I don't have to listen to the ringing. I thought I had added an app to my phone for robokiller but maybe I didn't go far enough as it's not working.

Meanwhile, here's a picture Mary sent me of Jake at soccer, and some stuff I saw on Facebook.

Remember the  McCaughley septeplets of Iowa? Fascinating story. Here they are all grown up
