Took me four hours to drive from Port Townsend to Vancouver. Second time I've done it and this time I also ventured out of the neighborhood to do a little shopping. Not much, though; just wanted to use my GPS on my phone to get accustomed to following her directions. Andy is taking Poppy to the vet in about a half hour and then he'll drive into the hospital in Portland to stay with Mary for a while.
Jake catches the school bus right across the street at 8:30 and returns home around 4:30. Tomorrow is early release so he'll be home by noon and Friday there's no school. Jenni picked up supplies at the Dollar Tree to have her and Jake make a welcome home sign for Mary. We're hoping she'll be home by Friday or this weekend. Too soon to tell. She got through the operation but will need several weeks to recover, I'm sure.
I'll post all (or most) of the pictures I put on Facebook and will try to blog more frequently. These won't be in any particular order.

Mary & Andy's house. That section in front on left is the little apartment that Jen and I stay in. I have the bedroom and Jen sleeps on a futon in the living room. That room also has a fridge, coffee pot, microwave, sink, and tv. There's a nice bathroom with walk-in shower and another bathroom just outside the apartment door. If Mary is unable to climb stairs, I'll probably transfer to the couch so she can have the downstairs bedroom. Their stairs are quite steep so I'm not real good at going up and down them either.
We took Poppy to the dog park, Over 5 acres so I just sat and watched.
I've enjoyed the cloud formations. Think they're different from PT clouds.
This was at a Mexican restaurant they like. They brought Andy a little flan cake, had him put a hat on and the crew sang and clapped Happy Birthday.
We had hamburgers and potato salad our first night. Workman have been here and will probably be here all week as they are having a deck roof put over their patio.
We did go to a football game for Jake but my camera didn't have a photo card in so I lost all those shots.

We went for a walk the first day. I had to take my walker and it still about killed me. Sigh....
