Hot Monday

It's 4:25 pm and I just stuck dinner in the oven.  I took a small casserole dish, put frozen vegetables in the bottom (they were one ball of ice), threw in some cut-up chicken, a cup of rice, and half a can of mushroom soup mixed with milk and water.  I'll probably eat on that for at least two days.

It's starting to warm up in here so I turned two fans to high speed.  I did a little of this and a little of that today. Ran errands at 8:15 a.m. (Safeway, Penny Saver, and UPS) and then came home to have coffee and do computer stuff.  I'm liking the way I've made the living room into my hobby room. It's messy as hell but who cares.  I'm working on cleaning out my bin of crumb pieces by sewing them together into 9" sqs. It's a slow process but much more pleasant as I have the tv running nearby to take my mind off the monotony of it.

I found two quilt pieces "in process" and decided I needed to cut 3" squares to add to them and make larger. That'll take a while too.
When I get weary of sewing, I move the card table over and see how much I can get done there. I wearied of the small Xmas one I was working on. Just couldn't find pieces and my patience was wearing thin. I found another that has large pieces (500 altogether) and it's moving along much smoother.

At some point, I will turn off the tv so I can concentrate on my latest book. I'm reading The Kennedy Women and while I thought the first part (1800 folks coming from Ireland) would be boring, it was quite the opposite.  I ended up taking a nap for maybe 40 minutes. Just slept horribly last night. Woke up with foot cramps again, Thankfully going to the recliner gives me some relief.

Here's some photos Mary sent me. They went for a family hike at Lake Lacamas  and Jake spent the weekend with Catie so Mary and Andy went to dinner and a movie. Saw Thor, Love and Thunder. Said they liked it.

I'm into two things on my tv watching. The Split (on Hulu) and Tehran  (on Apple TV). Enjoying both. I lost interest in The Old Man with Jeff Bridges.

I sent back a pair of pants I bought at Amazon (too small) and when I went online this morning, I saw them on sale for $5 less. I did like the pants so I ordered a larger pair. Also got a can of air, some probiotics, and new underpants. Are you bored yet? hahaha

Well, I think I'll put some tea bags on to boil for a pitcher of iced tea and that's it for now.
