A Thursday day of Sewing

It's a little after 2 pm and I've pretty much spent the last two or three hours sitting at the sewing machine with golf playing in the background. I got a lot more done on this small lap quilt than I originally intended but it didn't get too warm in here so I kept on going. Tomorrow morning I'll finish it up.

A couple days ago Mary Gaboury and I drove out to Port Ludlow to visit Alyce Hansen, a co-worker from my mill days. She served us blueberry cobbler and it was out of this world. Alyce is a very active 98 year old.

Afterwards we stopped at the Roadhouse for a burger. Ran into Jo Lammers and Polly Rogers.
Mary, Andy, and Jake attended a wedding in Idaho over the weekend and had a fabulous time. Jake's school starts next Tuesday on the 30th. He'll be in 3rd grade.

Here's a cute picture I saw on Facebook today......

A few days ago I sat down with my boxes of photos and decided they needed to be downsized and sorted and I managed to get rid of quite a few. Always interesting to look back on old black and whites especially. Here's one of a cat we had when we lived in Kirkland. I haven't a clue what her name was.
I look over the things in that picture and realize I don't think I have any of them anymore. No folding wood rack, no rocking chair, no end table, no curtains, no hanging lamp, no clock on the wall and no plants. I can't see what's on the window shelves but I'm sure I don't have them either. And of course, no cat.

Other pets of my past include these:
Dee Dee Dinah, our Welsh corgi (that went to live with John)
our ducks on Kuhn Street when I was a kid
My dog Lucy when I lived in Hadlock
Our dog, Mickey, in 1963. That's Dana giving him a bone.

Other old pictures I came across was my four kids at the Y beach. Regret I don't have better shots of that beach.

Went to a memorial gettogether for the husband of a classmate last Saturday. Craig Hausler married to Liz O'Brien (Betty Hayes)
Jud Gammage,Mary Gaboury, Liz O'Brien, Herb Evanson, Sharon Young, Sharon Sofie, Karen Jovag, and me.

Here's a pretty interesting video...  (click at right bottom to make full screen)
