Oh deer! I'm in the mood for a drive

I woke up feeling halfway decent and I always take notice and appreciate it. Decided I'd go for a spin around town and before I knew it, I was taking one picture after another of DEER!  They are everywhere! And some pictures I had to delete because they didn't turn out that well. Here's a few...

This last one was a half block from my apartment.

I deleted quite a few photos that I took here and there as they just didn't do it for me. I think I'm going to be looking for a better camera at some point.  Here's a few more....

two nice looking statues at Laurel Grove Cemetery
Ship as seen from Fort Worden but I can't really tell what kind it is. At first I thought it was a sub but I don't think so.
two photos of the apartment house going up right next to QFC parking lot. These are fairly close to where I live.

This won't be of any interest to anybody but me but it's the little house I lived in with my folks when they were still a young couple and married. It's on 22nd, near Haines St and looks absolutely nothing like it did when I was a child. For one thing, you could see the house then. So many of the houses I take pictures of remembering my childhood are now obstructed with trees and shrubs. Especially my Aunt Elva and Aunt Lorraine's houses on Lawrence and Franklin. I don't have a picture of this house and how it looked in 1950. Always wish I did, though.

How can you not take a picture of the courthouse when you're in the neighborhood? What a beauty!  I was surprised at how little traffic I had to contend with so I could stop in the middle of the road to take photos. Usually, there's always a car behind you no matter what part of town you're in. I saw quite a few walkers, some guys playing tennis (or was it pickle ball?) I think it was pickle. Also saw two or three really cool old cars parked outside motels. Must have been here for the Raker's car show yesterday.

Well, time to get to my next project. I'm taking old photos out of this album and it's going to take me a few days probably because I glued the pictures onto sheets before putting in plastic sleeves. Am using dental floss to remove them and it's working pretty well.

Mary and Andy (with Jake) are in Idaho right now with all their friends. Attending a wedding of the son of one of her friends. Having a ball. Here's Jake playing pool and tennis. Poppy had to stay at Catie's place in Kent but I know she has a fun there.

Heading out to Port Ludlow on Tuesday with Mary Gaboury and Joanne Gilles as we are visiting Alyce Hansen. And that's about it for my Sunday. Going to tune in golf now.
