Groundhogs Day

I've sure been tired today.  Woke up at 5 and transferred to the recliner for two hours and then felt like I wanted another nap at 10.  I held off until 1:30, though, as I needed to make a quick Safeway run and mail a package.

Worked on a red, white, and blue quilt for a few hours in the morning and then finished it up this afternoon.  Except for adding the border, batting, and backing. That can wait another day. I got this jellyroll kit (as they call them) from Ann Robson for Christmas and I was anxious to sew it up to see what it looked like. Had to rewatch a video on Youtube first, though, so I wouldn't forget any steps. It's a super ease quilt top to make once you get going. And very pretty. You never know what it's going to look like until you're all done sewing the strips together over and over again.

Outside of this, I haven't really accomplished much today.  Worked on a crossword puzzle online and at the kitchen table, played around with scrabble on the computer (I won), and washed up dishes.  That's it.

I'm having leftovers for supper and will head to the recliner to work on my latest crochet project. An afghan using up odds and ends of yarn.  I'm dragging big time right now (it's 5 pm) but am hoping I can make it through and get a second wind.

I don't know why I'm so tired.  Probably 'cause I'm old.  I know.  Age is a state of mind.  And my state right now tells me I'm old!  Common sense tells me I would benefit by a daily walk. Perhaps I'd better get my act together.

Got a doctor appt at 3 tomorrow.  Am sure my fatigue today is the worrying I do "pre-office visit". Hate going to the doctor but I might as well accept the fact that it's going to be a regular routine here on out.  Next month I may go to a dermatologist. Been putting that off for way too long. Got a letter in the mail yesterday that the one skin doctor close to my house (who I refused to ever go to again as she was awful) has retired and sold her business.  Yay!  I'll give him a try. Couldn't be any worse than she was.

And that is it for now.  Gonna go turn on the news and listen to that blowhard Cruz brag about how great he is.  I can't stand him or Trump.  But then I've already mentioned that, haven't I?  ha ha

Saw some FABULOUS pictures on Facebook today. I think they live in Brinnon but I'm not positive. Klaass Images if you want to check out their stuff.  Really really good. Here's some of my favorites...
