And February Begins

Didn't want to crawl out of bed this morning and everything looked frosty as I peeked out the windows.
Because I often forget to use my brain, I went out the front door to take a picture (I have no life) and lo and behold, the dang ramp wasn't as innocent looking as I thought it was. Almost fell on my butt!  And that would have made me MAD! I'm still suffering from some injury? to my bottom now.  I guess. This is week four of dealing with the pain and I'm not happy about it!
I did a little surfing on the computer, worked my Yahoo crossword and proceeded to the sewing room as I wanted to finish up my purple quilt for Jenni.  Also finished the audio tape I was listening to so at least I got something accomplished today.
Tomorrow I think I'm gonna start my jelly roll project (a gift from Ann Robson) where you sew strips together.  Been watching a lot of videos at night on Youtube while relaxing in my recliner.  I get so jealous of all the beautiful material they show and their neat sewing tools and machines.  Like the cooking shows that leave you drooling, though, you have to remember all that stuff cost money.

I sat down with my stack of bills and paid everything online. Sure does make it easier.  Since I'm determined to not have debt, I pay the Visa and Amazon off every month. Depending on how bad I've been or how good, that can leave me a little short so I have to watch my pennies through the rest of the month.  Which is okay.  It is comforting to not have any balances where I'm being charged interest. I lived my entire adult life dealing with "interest charges" and I never could get out from under. It was payday to payday.  Still is, but at least I'm not owing, and even though I'm on a fixed income, I can pay the bills that are due when they arrive in the mail.  That was never the case in years past.

I've been awfully tired the past week or so. More tired than usual. I think.  I have to have an afternoon nap and once, I couldn't even last until after lunch and had one after breakfast. Good Lord!  I thought about my dad.  Seems like he was always napping as he aged.  Maybe when the weather warms up, I'll be more likely to get outside and get moving.  I like naps and look forward to them now but I do not like that it is very hard to get up from them.  I don't want to spend all afternoon in the recliner 'cause I don't want to stay up half the night.

Kind of looking forward to the political news this week.  I suspect that horses ass Trump will probably come out looking like a winner and that's a shame.  Can't say that I think Cruz is any better, though.  I can't stand either one of them!  Cruz is such a phony baloney I'm surprised people can't see through is crooked looking grin.  Trump looks crooked too.  Of all the candidates, I think I like Rubio more than the rest.  I'll vote for Hillary, though.

Downton Abbey sure was interesting last night.  Thought for sure they were gonna kill ole Robert off.
That was gross!
