Yesterday was a day I'd just as soon forget about. What a waste! I think I suffer from IBS. At least that seems to be the diagnosis from what I've been able to read online. I went to a gastro guy for months but he never did actually say I had it -- even when I asked him! Said it was too hard to say for sure. What a crock! Needless to say, he's off my list of preferred physicians.
I pretty much spent the entire day in the recliner. Watched a few episodes of Ray Donovan on Showtime and tried to nap. Had the chills real bad and was generally rundown and worn out. Didn't get a thing done. Went to bed at 8:15 and stayed there until 7:15 this morning. I'm better but...not 100%. For one thing, my back is out or....I've got some sciatica going on. Who knows? I go through this routine every now and again. Walking is difficult and standing is worse.
I think I'm going to sleep on the firm mattress tonight and see if it helps. I keep thinking my memory foam mattress pad is to blame but I haven't been able to prove it for sure so I could be full of beans! There are nights I feel absolutely fine sleeping on the foam when the harder mattress hurts too much. I've accepted the fact that there's just no pleasing me! Or pleasing my body at any rate.
I made a quick Walmart run early this morning to pick up various things I read online that would help my IBS. Bought acidolpholis pills, garlic pills, B12 pills, plain yogurt, and fiber biscuits. I'm also going to restart drinking a glass of water each morning that has a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar stirred in. Don't know why I even quit because I think it's good for a number of ailments.
First day of spring is tomorrow but I noticed I finally had a daffodil bloom this a.m. along with one other flower in the next bed. One of my trees burst into bloom too.
The Walmart parking lot has a great view of the mountains and while I didn't have my camera with me, I thought I'd snap one with my phone to see what I got.
Mary posted pictures on Facebook today of Jake's first Easter egg dye.
Brandon and Catie look like they're having as much fun as Jake is
I wanted to get at least a little bit accomplished today so I ironed some Sunbonnet Sue and Bill applique patterns onto an old yellow tablecloth I had cut up. Will sew around them tomorrow.
Think I'll head to my recliner now and finish off Season 3 of Ray Donovan. Sure am enjoying it but already have a couple new shows I want to try out.
Managed to get a short blog posted on my Town Kid blog yesterday. www.ptleader.com (Being a kid and growing up)
Monday I'll be taking a lot of photos in Port Townsend at the retirement luncheon.
