I slept in the extra bedroom last night. Or the computer room, as I refer to it Wanted to see if my shoulders would feel better sleeping on the foam mattress. I think they do. Just wish my "wound area" was doing as well. I used regular bandaids (with latex) thinking I probably wouldn't have a problem. Man, I'm stupid. The whole area is a red, burning, inflamed mess. Went to Rite Aid to pick up some more bandages and tape 'cause I wanted to hit Goodwill next door.
RiteAid said my card was expired and gave me a new one that requires I go online and fill out all kinds of data. Irritating and I'm not going to do it. Next time I go in there (which is seldom) and the card won't work, I'll make them validate the card themselves. I pretty much use Walmart for presecriptions (sometimes Safeway) and Walgreens is the only other drug store I spend money at for odds and ends. RiteAid's prices always seemed too high.
I left there and went into Goodwill. Discovered a dozen picture frames on the 99 cent table so I picked them all up as I needed supplies to work on my sticks and stones project. Still had money on a Safeway gift card Mary had given me so I drove back down there to pick up a few items. Meaning three things. I circled the pastry aisles again and again ($5 Friday) but I managed to leave the goodies there and head to check out. Parking lot was a zoo and even though I backed out like a turtle watching carefully in all directions, some ass came charging through and almost hit me! And even navigating to get out of the lot was difficult. Lots of old folks. Like me. ha ha
I went to Swains to return a shirt and saw a two car collision in an intersection near city hall. I got out of there as the sirens started and I saw the ambulance coming. Sometimes Friday traffic is a little more hectic I've noticed. I have to go out again at 4 to pick up Maddie at high school and then take her home to change so I can take her across town to Traylors for her part time job. I hate going that direction on Friday afternoons because it's always backed up. Hard to get back across the road to head back home so maybe I'll turn right and go down to the Dollar Tree to shop so I can get through via the traffic lights.
Hunter got my lawnmower tuned up and the blades sharpened. He said it starts like a charm now and he cleaned it all up so it looks new. Cost me a bit for parts and labor but it was worth it.
Got a cute email from Mary this morning announcing that Jake had FINALLY relented and used the potty chair. She said they did the happy dance. ha ha
I've got a stack of books by my recliner and since I just picked up four audio books to keep me company while sewing, I guess I'll move the radio out here or by my bed. Here's my latest Jake picture. Pool fun on the deck.
And here's my latest "nice people" photo...
