I pulled a box of "papers" out of the sewing room closet and sat down to go through them. Tax returns back to the 80's; medical insurance forms back to when I weighed a whole lot less; Dad and Marcella's medical stuff and tax stuff; notes on this and that, memorial cards, resumes, divorce papers, and check registers were a few of the things I looked at.
Man, you sure can see a change in your spending habits if you look at old check registers. I may write a blog on that. Been playing with the idea of putting together another Walkin' on Water type book too. Have a lot of pictures I'd like to use (many saved from Facebook) but I suppose I'd run into the problem of the picture belonging to someone and having to get permission. Heaven only knows how I could match a picture with whoever took it as many photos are "shared". Guess I'll think on it some more.
I've been watching various shows and movies on Amazon Prime each night trying to find things to interest me now that I'm done with Mad Men. Certain shows I finished up with left me very sad that I didn't have them to watch anymore. Like Ray Donovan, Nurse Jackie, Big Love, The Americans, Dexter, and Breaking Bad. I watched three movies this week that were kind of good. Everything Must Go with Will Ferrell, Falling, and A Single Shot.
Going to spend the day on the computer I think. I did get my photos sorted and filed but they're probably not completely done yet if I go into each folder and really look at them. Genealogy is calling my name too. Trying to decide if I want to sign up for ancestry again. Maybe later when I get down to brass tacks and know which direction I'm going.
My "Recipe" file is in need of sorting, as well. I see all these neat things on Facebook and stick it in my file to try later. That can get away from you fast. Right now I have four cookbooks sitting on the table that I want to look over. I'm tempted to go page by page (depending on whether the recipe looks yummy) to try everything there. Course that means grocery shopping as my cupboards are kind of bare. Another "we'll see..." on my list.
A view of my yard yesterday....
Oh, and another "nice people" picture...
Man buys turtles from food market and releases them to sea
