I've been trying to drink a second cup of coffee this morning but I keep getting distracted by doing one little odd job after another and the coffee goes cold. Finally decided to transfer it to a glass with ice cubes and have cold coffee. Yum!
I ran down to the local grocery store to mail off a package and as I pulled back into the garage, I noticed all my yard doodads sitting in the wheelbarrow waiting to be distributed now that winter has passed. Out comes all my little solar lights (although I'm probably going to have to test them out to see if any need batteries) and it was kind of fun placing my knickknacks (gnome, frog, rabbits, mushroom, windmills, etc) out where I can see them.
Yesterday I filled hummingbird feeders in the back and front and all ready I've spotted birds feeding from both. Yay! The birds haven't discovered the seed I rehung yet but that's because I stuck the feeder up high on the roof eave so the deer can't get at it. I suspect that's why my feeder emptied out overnight a while back. I keep thinking they're not going to find it but I've always been a slow learner about that.
I moved a couple of lawn chairs to the back deck although I don't actually sit out there too often because of the bees. And sometimes because of the sun. I do have a really cool lounge chair, however, that I sometimes lay in when the weather is especially nice. This past year, though, I found getting out of it a bit of a challenge. Am finding more and more chairs are daring me to sit in them and see if I can get up again.
I moved all my little craft supplies into this room and set up the card table so that the kitchen table isn't always occupied with a mess. Easier to have a mess in here as I can lay things out on the bed too. Plus I like having my laptop nearby so I can refer to certain designs or directions as needed.
I managed to get two loads of laundry done but still have to fold and put away most of it. All in good time. I got two letters written and a couple emails. Think I'll work on a Leader Town Kid blog later on too. Noticed a letter to the editor in today's paper from a guy saying he enjoyed reading the blogs of "Joyce, Tom, and Erwin." Always nice to find out somebody is reading my blog.
The neighbor has decided to raise chickens and she posted a picture of four little chicks on Facebook. I'm going to go over and look at them when she gets home from work today. Saw some pictures of the Wheel-in Drive-in on Facebook yesterday so thought I would share on my blog. Lots of good times remembered from childhood through my teens (and beyond).
Met up with my sister-in-law, Lill and classmate John O'Brien for lunch in Sequim yesterday.
I just had a cup of clam chowder and boy, was it delicious! Unfortunately, I didn't discover until my drive home that I had run my errands with clam chowder dropped on my blouse front. Hate it when that happens. Which reminds me, I think I'm gonna make another adult bib this week. Got some really cool material of Frankenstein that would work perfect.
Woke up at 3 and struggled to get back to sleep. Finally dozed off at 4:30 and then woke up with a horrible calf cramp at 7. Had to get up and I was still tired. Grrrrr!!!!!!
OH NO! Just read on Facebook that Merle Haggard died. So so sad. I LOVED HIS MUSIC! Always regretted I never got to see him in person. I almost did. One night in Reno. I had enough money left to either go see Merle or go play keno. I picked keno (and won $1500).
