I woke up yesterday with nausea and fatigue. Couldn't understand why I'm still dragging but I guess it's sinus related. I'm getting weary of feeling weary. Was happy this morning that things seemed to have calmed down a bit. Whatever is churning around inside is still there but I'm up and about and I'll deal with it day by day. Damn nuisance. At least it hasn't gone into a bronchial cough. I hate those as they hang on forever. Am taking a pill for mucus congestion but I think the best thing I can do is rest and drink those 8 glasses of water I've made a vow to do daily. I've come close but it's still a struggle to get down all 8 in a day.
Woke up at 7:15 so missed 15 minutes of the CBS Sunday Show that I like to watch. Took a hot shower and told my body to HEAL THYSELF! Fixed a couple little pancakes for breakfast with two pig sausages and washed it down with some V-8 juice and a cup of tea. Am trying to avoid coffee for a while to see if it makes any difference in how I feel.
Decided to make an early Safeway run as I needed some milk and a couple other items. I followed the guy I parked next to into the store and he must have been having a bad day. The carts were stuck together and he could unhook them to save his soul. Instead of going to another row (like I do when that happens to me) he proceeded to yank harder and harder until he was making a spectacle out of himself. He obviously was in a crabby mood. Somehow that was comforting to me. I'm often in a crabby mood myself. Ha!
I picked up what I needed quickly and made for the car. Gave Joyce Lee Adams a call to see if she was up yet as I was supposed to come by and see her water painting supplies and what pictures she's painted. She was getting ready to mow her lawn. Amazes me how active she is. Always on the go. We're going to plan a "paint together day" at my house so she can give me some tips. Wish I had had my camera so I could have taken a picture of her grandfather's house that she painted.
After I got home I decided to try and burn a CD. I've done it before but it's been a while so I had to walk myself through it slowly. My music files are so screwed up. My Itunes website says I have over 1700 songs in there but half of them are "hiding" somewhere where I have to dig around to discover every time I decide to play music. I have a lot of CDs but pretty much only play them in the car as I use Pandora music channel on my Roku device via the TV to listen to the radio and tunes I like.
I even managed to get the playlist printed so I was pleased with myself.
And here's a few pictures I saw on Facebook...
Mary and Andy are at a Seahawks function but Jake was more interested in getting back to the bouncy house below
Hood Canal Bridge is closed because of mechanical failure. Man, am I glad I'm not traveling today. Stuff like that drives me right up the wall. I have to go over the bridge on Wednesday to take Jenni to the ferry so it better be fixed by then!
Here's my cousin, Marlee, on her fishing boat in Gig Harbor. Yum!
And here's a picture Mary sent me with some app she must have on her phone or computer.
And here's a cute cartoon I liked....
I tried getting on the social security website this morning just to see how much is taken out for medical each month. Apparently, they didn't recognize my name or password and after three tries, they block you for a day. I went in and made a new password but they still wouldn't let me in. Royal pain!
I see that Amazon is having an "Amazon Prime Day" on Tuesday so I guess I'll browse around and see what I can find. The twins turn 16 next week and I need to buy a small present. Both passed their driving tests so they'll apply for their license when they come back from Lake Cushman the day after their birthday.
Used up a few leftovers yesterday and made up a small bowl of refried rice. Always appreciate not having to cook for a day or two, even if it is just boring ole rice. Maybe I'll bake a half recipe of oatmeal cookies today. That ought to cheer me up.
And that about brings me up to date. Plan on sorting more genealogy notes this afternoon but that's about it since I'm continuing to deal with dizziness now and then. I guess I'll give it another week and then see the doctor. I'm going to be very annoyed with myself if I discover that some "pill?" could have shortened this whole episode. Now I'm going to go into the bathroom and find something to squirt up my nose. I cleaned bathroom drawers and "save boxes" etc. yesterday and threw quite a bit in the trash. Found stuff that expired in 2009, 2011, and 2013. What a hoarder I've become.
