Just Rambling Along

Made an early Walmart run to pick up laundry soap, dish soap, toilet paper, eggs, and some sky material.  Also needed to try on bras to see what cup I am now.  Surprisingly, I'm still the same as I was.  I guess your cup doesn't necessary enlarge just because your chest area does.  Pretty soon I'll be as wide as I am tall.  Oh God, I hope not.  I always feel down on myself after a session in a changing stall with bright lights and a full length mirror.  It's a wonder I didn't throw up while I was in there. Never did find a bra either and I spent a lot of time looking.

Three employees sat there discussing "management" and how stupid they are.  ha ha  I could have told them that!  I finally gave up on the new bra idea and decided I'd look again online. At least now I know what size cup to buy.  I scooted over to the material department but only found one little fat quarter that resembled sky. Still not what I was looking for but it'll do since it was only 97 cents. One thing I really dislike about Joanne's is how they plaster their shelves with 50% off neon signs and then you realize the price you end up paying is what they were charging a few months ago anyway. I also get annoyed that they fill up the place with holiday decorations months before the actual holiday.
Halloween and Thanksgiving was displayed but I won't buy any of that stuff even when it close to the date.  My decorating days are behind me.

Clallam County Fair starts this weekend so traffic is my neighborhood (and noise) will be increased for a bit. Poor Wayne. He came by last night to fix a window I couldn't get closed and said his FedX job is a real pain at fair time because the vendors are ordering like crazy.  He is looking forward, however, to not having to accompany the kids to the fair this year as they're old enough now to go when they want and with who they want.  I sent Hunter a FB message this morning hoping he'd come by to replace a smoke alarm battery for me.  I attempted to do it myself and while I got the old battery out, I was too unsteady to try and monkey around with the gadget over my head.  Shoulders weren't cooperating either.  Took me a while to figure out where the dinging was coming from.  Next I'll have to see about replacing the batteries in my doorbell. Or just put up a sign and be done with it.  Darn thing doesn't last worth a darn even with the batteries (and it's seldom rang) so I don't understand what the deal is there.

Well, Hunter just put in a battery for me and after he got in his truck, I heard the thing ding again.  He came back in and we sat there watching it (and put in a second battery) but it wouldn't ding.  I finally had him leave. If it continues to ding, I'll just have to take out the battery.  Had the same thing happen in the living room ceiling one a few weeks ago.  We never could get that one to stop dinging so now there's no smoke alarm connected there.

Ann Robson in Issaquah sent me copies of the "row by row experience" quilt patterns friends have picked up for her in various shops.  I think I'm going to make this one next. It's just one row but they give you two choices for colors. I'm going to use whatever I have on hand.

I went out in the backyard to run a quick hose over the trees and flowers and the next time I looked out, I saw four crows hanging out.
Darn it!  Now that smoke alarm is dinging more frequently. Hunter's left, of course, so I guess I'm going to have to pull out the step stool.  What a nuisance!

Was looking around on Google maps and found this photo. Shows an alley type road directly across from Kuhn St. on 19th.  It wasn't there when I was a kid and it looks like Kuhn has been opened up in other areas too.
Here's three pics that Mary posted on Facebook of Jake.  First two were today when a firetruck showed up on the block.  They gave him a sticker.  The third is him enjoying a few pistashios.

I decided to cancel my HBO last night.  I can still watch it for free until Sunday, though.  Just wasn't enough on there to warrant the $15 a month.  Well, the dinging is driving me dingy so I guess I'll go yank out that damn battery!
