Late Sunday afternoon

Just stuck a pan of enchiladas in the oven. Had to force myself to get up and make them. I seem to work at talking myself out of fixing a meal quite often these days.  But it wasn't that much trouble once I got going and at least I'll have it to eat on for a few days.

Spent a while in the sewing room working on a new quilt panel.  This particular pattern came from the Bremerton fabric store and I really like it.  Well, I will until I have to start sewing around all those trees and other little pieces.
The trees are four different colors of greens and the sasquatch is in a brown fleece fur type material. Hope it doesn't fray on me too much.  I even downloaded the Olympic National Park sign on my computer and printed it off on a piece of cloth in my printer.  I'll sit in the recliner tonight and begin cutting out the stencils I've traced onto the heat and bond paper and tomorrow I'll try to start putting the whole thing together little by little.  That black thing in the middle is the highway.  ha ha

I had to get up sooner than I wanted to this morning.  Mouth gets so dry I can barely stand it. That's from sleeping with my mouth wide open cause my nose gets all stuffed up.  Going to throw my pillows in the dryer today just to see if maybe they're full of dust mites.  Ugh!  Just the thought makes me ill.  Needed to get up also because of nightmares.  This particular one kept going on and on and on and I know darn well it was my brain cells short circuiting.  Makes me nervous as I wonder if dementia is getting a foothold in there.

Was nice to see the rain this morning.  Meant I didn't have to water.  Darn utility bill just keeps going up all the time. That and cable (and everything else!).  Below are various pictures to share. Some I got off Facebook. I'll just rattle on about each one and let it go at that.

Here's my cousin, Cindy, in Gig Harbor with her daughter Miranda.  Cindy was born the summer I was getting ready to be a senior in high school.
Here's a shot Mary and/or Andy took yesterday when they went on a hot air balloon ride over Woodinville.

Here's the national park sign I downloaded for my Sasquatch quilt panel.
Blew up two of the Kuhn St. house pictures to work from when I try to pain them. Love the large size even if the pictures aren't that clear. My new favorite store is Pacific Office Supply.
My crocosomias are just about ready to be completely gone. I sure did enjoy them while they were here.
In its place, some gladiolas arrived on the back deck. I never can remember what these are called fro some reason. Had to google them.

An old box my dad built years ago to carry stuff on the back of his little pickup. A Mazda maybe? Anyhow, it needs to go to the dump but I continue to let it sit in the back collecting earwigs, spiders, cobwebs, and just plain crud.  Gonna clean it out this week.
Andy posted this on FB and it made me laugh out loud --
This one made me laugh too. Good ole photoshop.  ha ha

Just found some more I liked on Facebook....

Some parts of the Olympics are interesting but a lot of it is ho hum.  Saw a woman crash on her bike and man, did that look graphic.  I'd liked to see the weightlifters but it's always hit and miss to catch the stuff you're interested in.  I put a few more things on my "watch list" in Netflix as it was getting pretty boring.  Probably most of the stuff I chose will end up being deleted  before I watch it all anyhow.

Gotta mail out another sympathy card tomorrow. Patti Walden (who I really liked) died a couple days ago of cancer. Her husband, Les, and I marched together at graduation.  Makes me sad to keep hearing of people I know passing on.  Part of life and I know it goes with the territory but still.....

Am heading into Port Townsend next Thursday instead of Tuesday.  Got a few stops to make here and there before having lunch with Kathleen Delaney (up from Texas) and Sharon Sofie.
