8 a.m. Got the Today Show on waiting for the Parade. Intend to watch the dog show afterwards, as well. A bit of a headache buzzing around but hopefully, it'll disappear as the day goes on. It had better! I pulled some Xmas lights out of the storage box in the garage and hope to get my front hand rail decorated with a string. And a couple of the plum trees in the backyard too. My living room looks out on the backyard so that's my view. The neighbors across the alley have had their house lights strung around their eaves for a week or more.
Jenni is dinking around in the kitchen. Doesn't have to stick the bird in the oven quite yet, though, as we're not eating until 5. She's reading the morning paper and I'm here in "my den" writing on my blog, working my crossword puzzle, and checking out Facebook. Intend to work on a book chapter today and "maybe" put the backing on my fish quilt. Depends on how my back is behaving.
Hmmmm...I keep finding these white "medium long" strands of hair on my keyboard. Suppose that means I'm continuing to lose hair as I age. These days I am very aware of people on tv who have a full head of hair. I find myself looking at hair all the time.
I watched "This is Us" on tv the other night. Critics have been talking about it. Personally, I found it boring as all get out. Contrived and phony and I won't waste my time a second time. The only one I really wanted to see was the fat lady and her part was next to nothing in this episode. It was also a poor part. I could have done so much better. (In the writing; not the acting)
I've also started watching this show on Amazon Prime called 'Good Girls Revolt'. Meryl Streep's daughter, Grace Gummer, plays Nora Ephron and it takes place in a magazine office in the 1960's. Love seeing all the old cars, furniture, people smoking, fashions, and seeing how women were treated in the work place. I'll definitely follow this one.
Hmmm...just saw Marlo Thomas on the Today Show. I recognized her voice but had to do a second take at how she's aged. (spoken like an old lady who sees that in herself)
I sure am glad I'm not traveling this holiday season. The freeways and ferry lines look horrendous!
Here's a couple pictures I took of the Thanksgiving tables before they're set up.
Think I'll go outside since it's not raining at the moment and see about stringing those lights. Have a good Turkey Day!
