It's December Again

Good Lord!  I just read the last blog I posted a couple days ago.  Could I get any more boring? Yeah, probably.

It's 7:30 a.m. and I'm feeling halfway decent.  Woke up at midnight, 3, and 5 a.m. No wonder I'm always tired! Stayed in bed until 5:58 and wondered why exactly I was timing myself.  Diet is coming along but it has only been two whole days.  ha ha  I'm down a bit on the scale even though I told myself I wasn't going to weigh until next Tuesday.  Had scrambled eggs w/salsa and a piece of bacon for breakfast.  Sammy came running as soon as he smelled that bacon and sat nearby watching me eat intently.  I didn't share.

I went out to the garage yesterday to put a few items in the car to take to Goodwill today.  Decided as long as I was out there scrounging around, I might as well bring in "just a few" Christmas decorations.  And I did keep it to just a few.  Getting to be more work every year.  I had to set out my most favorite knickknacks, though.  Hung a large wreath on the front of the house, threw down a Noel welcome mat, hung 4 large plastic bulbs on the tree in the backyard, set out ALL the homemade cloth ornaments that my cousin, Susie, made me years ago, and set out a handful of  my large 101 dalmatians collection. Had to display these folks too.
I started making some Christmas cards yesterday and it ended up taking a lot longer than I anticipated. I wasn't real sure what I was going to make until I got started and one thing led to another.  I'll post one on here after I've mailed them out.

The news continues to be pretty much dreadful everywhere.  It's hard to even be horrified at what you read and see these days.  People killing each other, stealing, doing damage, hurting animals, cheating, and it never seems to end. Just when you think you've heard it all, there's something new. Like that poor woman who was kidnapped, branded, abused, and then dropped off.  Or the asses who poisoned the bees in Sequim.  How did we get so vicious?  And then there's mother nature with her tornadoes, snow storms, and wild fires. I've heard that the Tennessee fire may have been human caused.

I put three envelopes in the mailbox yesterday morning (mail comes anywhere between 10:30 and noon) and when he still hadn't showed up by 4, I brought the mail back in.  Then he arrives.  Sigh....
I just changed my calendar here above my desk to December. And December isn't there!  What?  It's definitely a 2016 calendar but they forgot December!  Sigh again.....  This particular calendar has the neatest bird pictures ever! I think I'll hang them on my wall.  Meaning I'll tack them up. Wish I could afford to frame them all up real pretty as gifts but frames can get expensive. (Unless you're buying a basic non fancy one at the Dollar Tree for a buck a piece)  Which is what I did the other day -- and was mighty glad to see them. Bought 9 or 10 in fact.

I set up the card table in the kitchen yesterday intending to get into another jigsaw puzzle. I probably shouldn't have but I like to sit down every now and again and work on one.  Been limiting myself to 500 piece puzzles as the 1000-piece is way more dedication than I'm willing to commit to right now.

Well, looks like I just wrote another boring blog.  I need to get out more, I guess.  Have a good day.
