Tuesday Dinner time

I don't usually blog this time of day but Jen is fixing (I should say fixed) a wonderful turkey pot pie so I stayed out of her hair and sat in here working on projects.  Made five stops today.  Big Lots (not that great), Dollar Tree (great buys - picked up 8 frames for a buck a piece), Walmart (not too bad because I went early and there were no crowds) Walgreens (picked up reprints) and Safeway where I bought healthy snack food and four gift certificates for Xmas presents.

The bell ringer outside Walmart was singing again. I told him he made the paper (Seen around in PA) and he was excited to see it.  I knew someone would submit that.  Saw "my homeless guy" sitting outside Safeway again so I gave him a dollar.  He said "Hi Sweetie!" when I drove up.  His name is Sam.

Put away my sewing machine for a while so I can concentrate on my book.  Got close to 1500 words written on today's chapter so I felt good about that.  Yesterday I followed Jen over to their property where they plan to put a mobile in the spring. Posted an album full of photos on Facebook but will add some here too.

I think I may have had some brain cells die during the night. Been so forgetful today.  I left my keys on Walgreen's counter and had to go back. I stood at Safeway waiting for the clerk to finish --yet I had neglected to key in my pin number. I almost walked off leaving $15 worth of change and I think there were at least two other things -- but I can't remember what they were now.  Tired I guess.

Tomorrow I'm gonna make some Christmas cards.  They're a tad different this year. Will share later.
Went to doctor yesterday and my blood pressure readings were still high. She discontinued the new prescription I started a month ago and now I'm on something new.  Am working at weight loss too. Oh, and I got a flu shot. So far, my arm hasn't ached.

Can't think of much else so guess I'll go see how dinner is coming along.

  1. Garlic and cherries for lowering blood pressure and no snack food unless it is salt free and a vegetable or fruit. Where is Jen's property? It looks familiar.
